  • Broncos Steal Chargers Biggest FA

Louis Vasquez is now a Broncos, one of the few good lineman the Chargers had on their team is now going to a rival. Now rumor has it Tyronne Green will be going to Jacksonville. Also Shaun Phillips there only real pass rushing threat is going to leave, I dont wish to see him on the Raiders so I hope the Browns grab him. Your team managed to keep Danario but it appears noone really wants to go to a bad team in a city where no one cares about football.

      Lol I loved this move.

Taking one of our rivals Top-Olineman and filling a pretty big need on our own team.

      TAKE THAT McCOY!

I was searching for this. I thought for sure that there would be multiple post about it. Here is the link.

The San Diego Chargers have yet to make any big moves, but their most important free agent was stolen out from under them by the AFC West rival Broncos.

congrats on the signing, guess they want to gut our entire OL now? honestly do not see why we didnt keep him, its not like he is an older player and they want to go young, either.

not a good start for the new regime.

Man you guys are doing great huh. No real additions and now your losing chunks of your line. I am sureyour super rivers will be fine once he learns how to throw from one step drops

The Chargers will probably sign Eric Winston. Lane Johnson might be available at #11. Mayock expects the top 3 OTs to be top 10 picks. If the Broncos release Kuper, the Chargers would be a logical destination. Manny Ramirez is another option if the Broncos decide not to keep him. Maybe Jonathan Cooper at #11? Too high for a guard, but he also has value as a center and can eventually replace Nick Hardwick. Maybe they will spend the 1st and 2nd round picks on OL. This would be the safe route to rebuild their biggest weakness, but if they're willing to take a risk I can see Cordarrelle Patterson being their target in the 1st round.

Neither Cooper or Warmack have the power behind them that Vasquez had, though Cooper has agility balance and durability to be a solid lineman who can move in at C if need be. My guess is they will have to target Warford, in either the 2nd or 3rd round. Though maybe they didnt bring Vasquez back because they are choosing to go lighter and have more of a zone blocking scheme.

If Pugh moves inside well he could be a steal for one team, but the fact remains the Chargers have decimated line

He wanted to go play for a winner and pass protect for a Hall of Fame QB.....cant really blame the guy.

With the way the SD O. line played and by far the main reason why the Chargers didn't make the playoffs, with the exception of Nick Hardwick every O lineman should be expendable.
Why don't you guys really put the hurt on us and go after our Tackle J. Clary.

actually, he wasn't offered the kind of money by SD that Denver gave him.

everyone pretty much knew they wouldn't be making any big moves in FA since TT said publicly they wouldn't be doing so. that said, i am not sure why they didn't want to keep this guy.

by the way, our line was trash with vasquez, this move doesn't make or break an already horrible OL with tons of holes.

V wasn't the reason he gave up like 2 sacks all season out of close to 50 total...but you keep telling yourself he doesn't make or break your line . Your oline just got worse even though that seems impossible. The fact you shrug it off makes me laugh
