While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Plus you let all your talent go else where , sproles , vj , breese just to name a few. But I must thank you guys for constantly making our division easier to win. If the chargers still had sproles and vj and breese they might just might have a shot at competing , but seems like SD is so
cheap they are gonna thrift themselves right into 4th

well since you just became a fan i can understand why you think the chargers have always made it easy for your team to win
just last year the chargers made a FA splash to attempt to win right away and it bit them in the ass. this year with the new regime they are taking the bill polian route and are not making a lot of moves in FA in order to build for the future through the draft.
the broncos have a very small window of opportunity to win a ring with manning so it makes sense for them to make a FA splash this year.
but you would have to understand the game of football to know this, dont worry, it will come in time.

I've been a fan 20 years or so , and I played football , your team let us take their best plaer on o line , and you have let very talented players escape which every team does at some point I guess just seems like the chargers a kinda cheap at times and under value ppl a lot but you guys , I really figure a team with a losing record should have been active in fa but I guess they think their ability to draft will save them. BTW broncos ability to be contenders doesn't end when manning leaves. We have several young players on d and o that are play makers and a rocket armed back up that getn to learn the game from one of the greats. Its wish full thinking on your end to say were not a playoff team without manning

Also you keep referring to that I just signed up so I must have done this because my teams good. If that was the case why wouldn't I have signed up last year lol or when we had tebow and won against the steelers lol , basicly by your logic anyone who joins when their teams good have been waiting to join ? So far it looks like the biggest screw up made this year was by Denver waiting to long to restructure Elvis's contract and it costing them a 5mil salary cap hit.

Ah Chargers fans so oblivious to how the NFL works. Had Denver not cut him Loose he would have been guaranteed 12 million dollars this season instead of 5 million he will count vs the cap now.Cutting him was the intention all along if he wouldn't rework his contract which is what happened.

Brees was a calculated risk, most people considered his career over at the time. I still miss Sproles, no idea why he was let go but we rarely used him well anyway. VJ I honestly don't care about, Danario Alexander has shown he can fill his role. You are correct however, the Chargers are cheap. We need to cut or restructure Gates.

You touch on a very good point here. The Chargers the past couple years have been like the Padres, a nice little farm team for the rest of the league.

when i first joined i wasn't running my mouth like you are now, making 5 threads a day talking junk like you are attention starved or something.
i joined the week our teams were to face each other and if you look at my posting history (which you obviously are), you will see i left right after that for quite a while.

While I agree with you that the agent and Elvis are partly to blame but I'd place equal blame on the Front office. If they didn't wait till the last couple hours to fax over their proposal it maybe wouldn't have had to come down to a deadline decision. Present him the proposed pay cut the day before and maybe he's still a Bronco.

Once again you don't know what you're talking about. Dumervils agaent told Denver hours before the deadline he wasn't going to accept the offer so Denver drew up the release papers..an hour before the dead line He called Denver saying Dumervil would accept it..so Denver sent to paper work over with the understanding it would be sent back asap..it wasn't..Agents fault Broncos team president John Elway issued a statement Friday night, explaining the situation from the team's point of view.
"Due to the procedural elements that were involved in executing the new proposal, we imposed a 1 p.m. MDT deadline for a decision, one hour before the NFL's waiver wire at 2 p.m. MDT. Our deadline was clearly communicated to Elvis' representative," Elway said in the statement. "At 1 p.m. MDT, we were informed by Elvis' representative that he declined our offer. We then prepared Elvis' termination notice to officially file his release with the NFL office.
"At approximately 1:25 p.m. MDT, however, we were informed that Elvis changed his mind and accepted the same contract we proposed nearly two-and-a-half hours earlier. Although we expressed our concern regarding the time constraints, we were assured that the signed documents would be submitted to us before the league's waiver deadline.
"We did not receive the documents from Elvis by the league's deadline and were forced to release him shortly before 2 p.m. MDT.
