are the 2013 broncos the best unit ever?

Now I understand we need to get a ring to put them in the convo, but we have 3 guys that are 1000 yard + wide recs, manning , and two young running backs that will be taking over , on d we have champ though slowing down is still a very good player , miller , Phillips , DRC , Harris , sticky man, pot roast , pot roast Jr , it might be a stretch to compare them to our Superbowl days but then again we were 13-3 and killed the west last year , are we as good or better on paper than any unit ever ? On paper its hard to say no.

I'm a Broncos fan but thats not even a real question at this point. 89-90 49ers are the best team in my life time. HOFers all over and they won it all in convincing fashion.

I don't specify , but I meant more the best broncos unit than all time , too many great teams to say all time ever , just broncos teams

No, the games haven't even been played yet. Let alone potential injuries in training camp, preseason, and throughout the season. If we were going strictly based off paper, to me the 49ers have the best team on paper even if you are talking about the best Broncos unit, they cant be unless they beat all the other good teams, and right now the 9ers look the best on paper out of any team right now.

To be honest, on paper our offense and defense are better than the 98 unit last years offense was only lacking a solid rungame to be in the discussion. I think with the addition of welker our passing game is good enough at this point that it balances out the lack of run game. Our run game could be improved depending on how well ball works out and if knowshon comes back healthy.

Defensively our unit last year (and this year by extension) was miles ahead of the 98 team IMO

But again, this is all on paper...it's easy to say something is amazing on paper I mean look at how many people were in love with the "dream team" Eagles...It's just simply to early to judge. I think this could be one of the best seasons we've ever had but we won't know till we have it, half the team (knock on wood) could be injured by week two and we could finish 2-14 you just don't know until the season happens.

Yea injuries aside on paper etc , but its not as crazy as people might think , we had a new qb , and d cordand went 13-3 , after all we have done in the off season its hard to think anything but positive. We have gotten better most everywhere , doom being a down side but sp is a more rounded guy. Its taboo to mention the 98 broncs in the same sentence as any other bronco team but I think we have a shot talent wise to make a move at best team ever. Who would win today in an exhibition ... elways broncos or Manning's broncos ? The answers not as clear as most think.

ha. no. Unless you find a RB that can run for over 2000 yards and is unstoppable, then no. Do we have the best WR core we have ever had on paper? Yeah, I will buy that. But Manning and some banged up RB's and some other rookie RB's better than Elway and TD? No. No. No.

EDIT: And TD could easily own the season rushing yards if not for Shanny taking him out. Having a RB that was one of the all time best for the years he played, and teaming him with Elway is something special. We had arguably the best QB and RB and offensive line in football on the same team.
