  • Legendary effort? LOL

Manning's legendary effort ranked #5 on QBR. A good laugh. I bet some columnist can write a good story about it.

I don't really care about what the media says anymore. Colin and Manning had the best performance for a QB this week and the NFL gave this week's best QB award to Andrew Luck.

Dude didn't even have 200 yards. The NFL is stupid.

      And if you must know:

      1. Manning's performance
      ...

      ...

      2. Kaepernick's

Who gave a best QB award to Luck? As far as official NFL awards go, Manning has to win Offensive Player of the Week by default, right?

Ya. I saw that and it made me kind of chuckle. How can a guy who threw for 450 yards and 7 Tds have the 5th best rating? Perfect example of how stats can be over analyzed.

I'm going to disagree. Put both their names in a hat and pick. Who cares, both amazing performances.

yeah 4 TDs is just as good as 7..... O wait nope one is better... They both maybe good performances but one was clearly better.

When you have performances like Colin and Manning they are in a tier of themselves. Top tier performances. Just pick one out of a hat. Both performances have an argument over the other.

no one is still better than the other period. One hasn't been done since 69 and even longer since it has been done without a pick. Saying they are on the same level is just being a 9er homer.

And Manning's is a tier above Kaepernick's. No way around it.

                        uhhhhh Nope

4 more passing touchdowns tying the NFL record not touched since the 60's kinda trumps all else.

Maybe if Kap had run for a ton of yards but 22 yards on the ground isn't enough to equalize his performance.

Yards, completion % both too close to matter.

The main reason why I think Manning's performance is equal to Colin's is because Manning had 7 touchdowns. Colin's stats were in the context of the game. Manning's performance seemed forced. It was like they were calling plays to get him the record. The record is great because nobody has done it. Colin's performance was in the context of the game. The game was close and he did it leading his team to a win.

Your argument is a head scratcher.

uhhhh.... 6 TDs got us the lead than a 3 and out running the ball and then the next drive we throw to pick up the first and it goes the distance.

It wasn't forced we just didn't have a run game which makes it more impressive.
