    raiders, record 1-1
    scoreing offense...16th
    scoreing defense....4th

now in black and white those numbers look good, but are they? the defensive numbers and the win are assisted by the jags and their horrid offense, at 5.5 ppg which if pitt scores 3 points tonight will be the worst scoreing offense in the league thru week two, and in all likelihood the jags will retain that title all season

my ranking in the afc west....4

    chiefs...record 2-0

    26th in scoreing offense
    3rd in s defense

chiefs look solid, cowboys is a solid win, but again that defensive ranking is hyped by the week one gam against the jags

    rank...2nd

    chargers 1-1
    offensive scoreing 7th
    defenseive . 29th

the offense looks good with royal reemerging as a legit weapon, and so far the oline is playing solid
they could easily be 2-0, but on the other hand just as easily they could be 0-2. the offense is scoreing 30.5 ppg which will win most games, however the defense is terrible allowing 30.5 ppg. also.

    rank 3rd

    broncos...2-0

    offensive scoreing rank 1st
    denfense.....21st

still without champ and von, and now looking at the loss of clady, things could get tougher, but as for now the broncos are cruising. the offense is averaging 45 points per game which imo is very hard to maintain for any length, but still a high scoreing offense will win a lot of games.
the defense is giving up 25 points per game but some of them score is trash time with the game in hand

    rank 1st

    that's my view

    that's my view
I agree the 45 pts a game is hard to maintain but denver has started slow in both games.
Week 1 - 14 in the first half
Week 2 - 10 in the first half and 0 pts in the first qtr
Imagine if this offense puts it together for an entire game!

like i have said many times before, its too early to look at statistical rankings. that said, the chargers pass defense does not look good at all right now.

all i can say is i hope the offense keeps rolling because we are gonna have to keep winning some shootouts to have a chance, especially against Denver.

Denver seems to have a really good offense but they are not going to average 45 points a game all season lol

lets be realistic people. the best regular season scoring offense in history only averaged 38 points a game. that would crush the record and if that happened the broncos will go undefeated just like the pats did.

in the regular season of course, we all know things change once the playoffs start.

KC has a real chance to quietly steal the division away as long as smith continues to protect the football well and manage that offense like he has been doing.

not sold on the raiders yet, they likely beat the worst team in football so at this point that makes them not the worst team in football at least, like some people thought. lol

chill out trollmister...its just opening up discussions...breath some life into this place

but yes although your offense does look better its offset by your defense being basically unable to stop anybody....and you haven't met up with a real offensive powerhouse yet...im not buying into the eagle hype...seemed like once the bolts a basic blueprint from the skins game...it basically shut down the quick tempo

I also don't think we can maintain that pace...it would be nice, but you always have games where it don't click

as for kc...still not sold....jags was a pushover...and I don't think the cowboys are really that good

        raiders...well they the raiders...lol

next week is another test altogether

chiefs play the eagles whom sd beat...they now have two games of film on kellys offense

dolts got the titans whos defense is ok and played the Texans pretty tough

              we get the raiders

Raiders lead the league in sacks and rushing.

Waaaaaaay to early. But it is saying something for a roster that was put together with scotch tape and dry spit.

Jacksonville is horrible. I didn't get a chance to see it but I recorded NFL Red Zone just to see if they showed part of the game. From what I saw, they are just deplorable.

                Indianapolis is not that strong.

But when you have a weak team, the first thing is to beat the weaklings. Check. Then beat the teams you normally don't beat, in close games. Not there yet.

sacks or not...you played a 2nd yr qb in luck....a horrible team in the jags

getting those sacks is alot harder against manning

I had no idea we were automatically discrediting second year (record setting playoff making) QBs. I thought Baph was the one making excuses.

About the Jags, true they are horrible which were my exact words, but we were ranked the worst team in the league before the season started. Raiders teams of the past lose to horrible teams 9 out of 10 times.

                      That game was the 1/10

But I think every one here seems to be in agreement with
                      1 broncos
                      2 chiefs
                      3 chargers
                      4 raiders.

But seriously who would have thought the afc west would have 2 2-0 teams and 2 1-1 teams. Don't look like the worse division anymore

                      Adopted Broncos:
                      (2011-2013) Eric Decker

I agree with every thing this post. The jags are horrible,Luck is good,The Raiders are making strides and Baph is the king of "reasons"

cool thx for the post Arapaho

Love talking about this stuff as the season progresses.

                          Yeah man

Raiders are making strides. It's amazing how much a QB can change everything. Remember Orton to Tebow? I see a similarish thing in Oakland right now. Even if Pryor doesn't work out in the long run, he's breathing some excitement into the whole team and this kind of intangible is quite real.

Speaking of intangibles - how bout those Chiefs at home? This should be a very good team at home. Chiefs at home is worth about 4 pts in my estimation but that's only when the Chiefs team doesn't beat itself which it shouldn't now that Cassell is gone. Alex Smith is solid. I don't think the Chiefs could have won in Dallas but nice job winning by 1 at home - that was an EXCITING game and I can only imagine how much fun it was for you fans. You all have a lot to be optimistic about.

Chargers - they surprised me against the unknown Eagles. They didn't beat themselves this week and they won. But I see the Chargers beating themselves at least 4 times this season. I'm talking what could have been and should have been W's for the Chargers will be L's because they tend to do head scratching things.

The Broncos are the one team in this division who can still win when they get in their own way or when the officiating is subpar or any reasons that would cause the other 3 to have to really dig deep to scrape a W together. Not talking smack here and I think most will agree ....... the Broncos have tons of room for error should they need it.

I agree with the afcw power rankings in this thread pretty much

                          Broncos
                          Chiefs
                          Chargers
                          Oakland
The beatings will continue until morale improves....

But as far as the playoffs go denver has no chance they loss last yr!
Cincy, new england, green bay, houston, indy, seattle, and atlanta dont have a chance either cause they lost last yr too right?
Didnt Baltimore lose in the playoffs and th. Win the fofollowing yr?
I remember in 96 denver was 1 and done and then won back to back superbowls.
So keep talking about what happen last yr baphs, by your reasoning only Baltimore has chance right?
