  • Remember 59-14

    Payback is coming...

The Raiders handed the Broncos their worst scoring loss in team history in 2010 by the dreadful score of 59-14.

Monday night, the Broncos will settle the score, on national TV in front of the entire nation.

    Broncos 56
    Raiders 10

A blowout of Mega-proportions. The Raiders secondary is brutal and can't begin to deal with what we can line up all over the field from receivers to TE's to Knowshon and the RB's.

I don't know how the Raiders will manage to even make us punt...

We have beaten them the last three games, payback has already been dished out....now its about a division win...i dont care if we win by 1 point....this game is huge for us to start division play off right......go Broncos!

No team in The NFL will run up a score like that on purpose. The 59-14 game was the perfect storm..no run defense vs a team that was trying to run out the clock and turn overs not to mention special teams collapsing. Perfect storm. The actual payback for that game is never going to come and will never be lived down. Another Superbowl win would be nice way of saying shut the hell up though!

You do realize we could have scored 56 on the Ravens, right? The Raiders are bad, and there is no reason to think the Broncos are going to throttle down the offense

I think the team is far more motivated every week by last year's playoff loss than they are by a loss that happened three years ago and featured a bunch of guys who are no longer on the team being coached by the worst decision Pat Bowlen has ever made. This is a division game, at home, on Monday Night Football; they don't need a game that was a lifetime ago to motivate themselves.

Copuld have ,should have...didnt!Truth be told if he doesn't drop that INT at the one that would have more than likely been our last score of the game. All NFL teams throttle down so yes there is every reason to believe we will throttle down. All smart football teams throttle down when the win is no longer in doubt. Keeps things from getting nasty and more importantly no unnecessary injuries You ever watch football or just like making randomly ridiculous statements?

And it should have been more. The Raiders let off the gas in the 4th Quarter of that game. Damn that team Josh Mcdaniels built was a complete failure. And it is funny that 1 idiot on these boards still talks about him like he was hard done by and wasn't that bad Thank god he is gone and it should be fun to put a beat down on Oakland this week. However with John Fox being friends (You would think) with Dennis Allen if we get up big I doubt we go on with it. He will slow down like he did last year against the Raiders.

Funny how we can always depend on Bronco fans to come out of the wood work and start chest thumping after the first 2 or 3 games of the season when things seem to be going well and it' seems to be all orange crush skies from here on out. I'm not saying you shouldn't be excited about your teams mind blowing point stats the first two games and the fact that the Broncos are sitting on a +40 point differential heading into week 3 vs the Raiders at home. 56-10 is obviously unrealistic. The Broncos defensive is good but they are giving up avg 25 points per game on the avg. I think the score will be closer to 31-10, which if that happens the Broncos will be sitting on a +54 point differential. The last time the Broncos had that good of a positive point dif. was in 2009 (the "year of the utter choking collapse") with a + 46 point dif. after the first three games. McDaniels was then considered a genius at the time and the entire NFL and the Broncos fan base were talking Superbowl whenever the word Broncos was mentioned.

Some of you may remember in 2003 when Plummer took over under center. The Broncos were suddenly heavy Superbowl favorites out of the gate after the first 3 games with the Broncos sitting on a very impressive +65 point dif. after destroying their first 3 opponents. Bronco fans were in an utter frenzy and completely euphoric with talk of Plummer being a reincarnation of Elway. Will the 2013 Broncos be able to shatter that +65 point dif. record after facing the same team they did at home in 2003 week 3? I say no they won't be able to pull it if.

One thing we know for certain is that the Broncos have been know as fizzlers after starting out strong numerous times in the beginnig of the season and then choking either in the regular season and / or the playoffs while completely and utterly destroying their fans confidence after getting everyone all jacked up. Keep talking Denver fans and mouthing off. You may just be eating those words down the road. Haven't you already learned your lesson to stick a cork in it this early in the season based on your past chokes (case in point 2012 0-1 in the PO's after going 13-3). Do you seriously think the 2013 Broncos will be able to beat Brady's record of 589 points in a season? What about Brees's avg. score at home of 41+ points per game in a season? I don't think so.
Sorry Denver Haters...I've been on an extended business trip....:thumb:

When there is every reason to believe they will as I explained and you can not refute, are you not? Yeah....You are obviously a football genius. My Bad.

I cant speak for other bronco fans but in 09 even with the 6-0 start I had no faith in denver because Orton is just a game manager (like Neil Odonnel) and McDaniels clearly didnt know what he was doing ( trading cutler ?)
As far as excited about the Broncos this year yes I believe the Broncos definately are a contender and they have a coach who was a Field goal away from a superbowl win with Jake Delome and he now has Peyton Manning who is a SUPERBOWL MVP! FACT!
So yeah I believe, and I think Denvers d is better than I thought, DRC is the best cover corner on are team and harris carter and champ are all solid cover guys and Rahim and Duke have been solud at Safety
The D line is very hard to move and Woodyard is the best mlb weve had since Al Wilson
Danny trevathen gives denver another lb who can fly, he covers the te very well and when Von gets back this d will b scary good

wont be a blow out. If you read the Denver Post you need to check out the column from Kiszla. Fox doesnt hate the raiders he just professionally dislikes them.
