No offense Random, but I hope we get another chance at you guys :-) But if my team is going to lose to anyone, it might as well be the most dominant team of the past decade.

Btw, here is Manning's offensive output in his 11 playoff losses:

    16, 17, 0, 14, 3, 18, 24, 17, 17, 16, and 35. Other than last year, I don't see any "heartbreaking shootouts" like the Peyton media wants you to believe.
I don't think ANYONE would ever consider a guy who lost TWO Super Bowls to Eli Manning 'the best ever', lol

I'm basing my opinion, and a lot of people's opinion, of him based on his 15 years in the league. That's a large sample size; it's not like it's 4 or 5 years. Especially considering his one ring, he had to get A LOT of breaks to win it, including facing a hobbled Pats team and barely beating them - wasn't Rodney Harrison injured the last game of the season or something if I remember correctly? - and facing the Rex Grossman-led Bears in the Super Bowl, and still putting up sub par stats and being bailed out by his defense and running game.

If he cruises into the playoffs, beats the AFC teams including New England (at full strength as far as no more key injures), and beats the NFC team, I'll gladly change my opinion. I just don't think he has it in him. Some people are clutch, some aren't.

Even Elway, before he won those 2 SBs, had all those game winning drives and single-handedly carried truly mediocre teams to SBs they didn't belong in.
How about of he breaks the seasonal records for pass yardage, TD's an QB rating, and the Broncos go undefeated? lol...

...and please stop making excuses for the Patriots and their inuries...we're playing with backup OT's, and missed six games of a top three defensive player in the league and five without an All Pro corner and we're still 6-0

All pro corner? Maybe 10 years ago. Ol' man Bailey is out of his prime. And PED Miller did it to himself.

I'm not even a Pats fan and I know that losing Wilfork and Mayo is a severe loss for them.

And you can keep dreaming about the undefeated thing lol. Can't wait to see this board after your first loss. It's going to be great. But I guess like Indy fans, you'll blame it on your defense or your "idiot kicker." :-)

Kind of like you with your Peyton breaks every record and goes 19-0 fantasy? :-)

I don't think anyone would consider a guy who threw a pick 6 to lose a Super Bowl to be the best ever :-).

Btw, I wouldn't laugh at Eli. He might be shaky in the regular season, but in a playoff game, I'd much rather have him over Peyton.

Oakland had them beat! But here comes the tuck rule!
              Then in the superbowl:
              Ty law pick six
Otis int leads to a brady td pass
And a fumble leads to a fg.

His defense held the greatest show on turf to 17! Gave him a td (pick 6) and two extra possesions and he gets the MVP!
His defense held the Giants to 21 and 17 and Brady couldnt score enough pts!
Well it helped they had footage on the Rams game plan, but yes traditionally Bradys D allowed less then a TD scored on them then Indys hopeless D

He's missed the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years, gotta do well in the regular season to make the playoffs/SB>

Eli is inconsistent and anyone with a brain knows their D won those SB's.

And yeah, we've suffered a ton of injuries, so stop the excuses for your Pats.

Why not they were the only ones who would of bet their new toy at slot wouldnt stay broken for the first time in his career. They lost another primary receiver to being the criminal his background suggested he would be and they let any receivers of value walk away except an endangered party animal whose agent wont shut up

I'm a Saints fan, I just respect a worthy opponent and am sick of the Peyton hype. You almost can't watch football especially ESPN/NFL Network with the amount of coverage they give him. Even the year he didn't play, there were people who said he should be the MVP because the Colts were purposely losing to get the number 1 pick.

I agree the hype/media talk is ridiculous but you can at least respect what he's doing as a fan of the game.

I'm not sure they purposely lost, the team was just that bad, Peyton covered up a TON of holes on their team.

                      • I said earlier in this thread or another one that he's a first-ballot HOFer and at least a top 10 quarterback of all-time, I just think he gets a free pass from the media and his fans. I'm a Brees fanatic and am the first one to criticize him when he makes a mistake.

The media always brings up his playoff failures, hell, they brought it up today.

Some true, some not, maybe they are right.

Amen. The aints fan gets owned again.

Funny how you didn't mention we only have two starters in the OL, from last year, still healthy... Hmmm... You're enjoying your trolling still, at least.

Bailey not in his prime is better than any DB the Aints have, and keep spreading lies on what Miller was on, drinking your haterade will do that. Our defense was top 5 with Bailey and Miller, our pass defense is the worst in the league without them, and we're still winning games. I'm trying to let that point marinate for you, someday you'll realize Peyton > Brees.

Also, let the facts show, 6-0 > 5-1.

To be considered the league's best team, you need a defense.
