Its called bend dont break for a reason (allow yards but keep them from scoring or making big plays)
Who cares how many yards someone gets what effects the outcome of the game is the amount of points a team allows

        Points Allowed
        2011
        Pats: 15

        2010
        Colts: 23

        Colts:7

        2001
        Pats: 6 (WON A SB)
        Colts: 32

        Average
        NE: 7.7
        Indy: 14.4

        Average when in SB
        Pats: 5.6
        Indy: 15.5

        Average when won SB
        Indy: 23
        Pats: 3

There Im done I proved that stupid point, though I suppose all the Saints care about are yards which is why they cant keep teams like Bradys out of their own endzone without Gronk and your team cant make it past the divisional rounds more then once in its entire franchise history (even Manning has a better record then your franchise). Oh and like the Colts D in 2006 you havent even seen us at full strength yet. Now I am done

And without Mayo and Wilfork middle of the field is ripe for the taking.

            And Broncos O > Saints O.

No Mayo/Wilfork leaves middle of the field wide open.

              Josh just owned the troll.

Pats always had a better D most of the time and better teams useless argument.

Why do we always have to play NE in Foxboro? When was the last time they had to come to Denver? Seems like a lopsided schedule to me but I could be wrong.

Two years ago with Tebow and in 08 with Orton they came to Denver. It's actually about 50-50. You're just thinking we always go there because this is the second year straight. Playoffs are 1 home a peice too.

Now Ravens that's where you really have a complaint. This year was a very rare occurence of Ravens coming to Denver.

Thanks, Josh. If you weren't going to make that "point" then I was going to.

The Patriots have been allowing a significant amount of yards THIS YEAR yet in terms of points, the picture is way different. Bend but don't break is something they've done quite a bit of where as Manning's teams have bent and broken lol

what makes it funny is outside of this thread he always points to the patriots being a top 5 scoring defense but for this thread he went with yards. Probably the only thing he could find to support his point lol.

There's a reason defenses are ranked by yards and not by points. There's a lot more to factor in when looking at points. Field position, special teams, turnovers, etc. It's not always strictly on the D.

You must be forgetting Manning's terrible performance in the playoffs the year he won the SB. 3 TDs and 7 INTs with a QB rating of 70.5. Despite all that talent on offense. It was the D that won them the championship.

Talib has been shutting down much more talented receivers than the ones you have. Dennard and Arrington have played well for the most part as well. Gronk will be at full strength by then. And Belichick has Manning's number.
