No one is denying NE had a very good defense. But this argument that the reason Manning doesn't have as many SBs due to his poor defenses is just not accurate. Even in the games against us when we beat them their defense was not the problem. Manning's play takes a downturn come playoff time. Take a look at how he played even when he won the SB. His stats were atrocious. To reiterate - his D was responsible for that championship.

Whats last year got to do with anything, Welker who had 13 catches, 138 yards, 1 TD isnt walking through that door, at least not for NE.

Wilfork/Mayo are both out, who played.

Arrington plays very well in the slot. He is a solid nickelback. I'm sure that has something to do with covering Welker in practice all these years. Dennard is a more than capable CB. And McCourty is one of the best safties in the league.

Denver will get their yards and their points for sure. No one is denying that. But it won't be as easy as it has been for you up to this point. I just don't see your defense doing much to stop Brady considering that our rookie WRs are improving each week and Gronk will be playing. Maybe Vereen too.

Your best bet is attacking us with Julius Thomas.

One of Welker, Decker, Thomas of the receivers if they are healthy will have a big game.

NE has no one on that level as a receiver.

The rookie receivers will be good but not like any are elite level receivers the way you make it seem they are.

Who cares about QB rating? Brady has 7 game winning drives in the playoffs and Manning has only 1. Which is why it's asinine to say that the D solely won those SBs for Brady. Without Brady's clutch play when it mattered most, we never would have won.

Of note, Brady also gave us the lead with under 2 or 3 minutes to play in both SB losses to the Giants, but the D failed to hold it. He was clutch in both those games and gave us a very good shot to win.

I'm sure I also don't have to state that Brady holds the record for most playoff wins, including a trip to the SB with the 31st ranked defense.

That isn't true at all. A lot of his losses (like last year's INT in OT) were due to his own play.

Yep I remember the butt fumble good point! That was Mark Sanchez and Wilfork was probably throwing the guard into Sanchez.
But Sanchez and Wilfork wont be playing.
And THIS YEAR it took 3 Geno Smith int's for the Pats to win! Geno is playing better
