  • Seattle Scares Us!

I see a lot of people even bronco fans on this board getting in the fetal position when they hear the name Seattle. Quick drinking the kool-aid.
History usually shows the experts are wrong!
In 97 all I heard about was how Gilbert Brown was gonna crush td and Brett Farve would light us up.
The Pats first Superbowl win the Rams were gonna run them out of the building.
The Giants twice beat a Pats team that they were suppose to be destroyed by!
Last season the only team in the playoffs that gave the Ravens a game was Denver, and nobody gave the Ravens a shot against the invincible niners!
At this point the team I'm worried about is the Titans. But you guys can send the Lombardi to Seattle (watch them lose Sunday lol).

Yeah seems like I remember Terry Bradshaw saying the Broncos on their best day could not beat Green Bay on their very worst day.

It's hard not to buy in to what the analyst say. I think now days the over analyze everthing. Example: I was convinced Denver would drop 50 on the Jags and that game ended up being a dog fight. And where were the analyst when tampa went into Seattle and went up 21-0. I would have thought. Seattle wins that game by 30!
I'm worried anout Tennesee right now, let em crown Seattle!

I think SEA will beat DEN in the Super Bowl not because of what the analyst have said.

I think SEA will beat DEN because the last time we played (preseason) I felt like we
were dominated in almost every aspect of the game.

(I know it was preseason but I do not think we have ever been dominated like
that since our loss to NE in the playoffs).

I hope to eat a buffet of crow for thinking SEA will beat us but realistically
I think SEA is the team to beat.

Does anyone remember when they were in our division, AFC West?

Coupled by the fact I was at the DEN playoff loss to BAL last year,
and the DEN loss to NE recently…Paayyyton!!!!

you mean like how we dominated the ravens last year during the season??? How that turn out in the playoffs. The playoffs and Superbowl are different animals. Past games mean nothing.

          Adopted Broncos:
          (2011-2013) Eric Decker
          (2014-2018) Bradley Roby
          (2019-Current) Drew Lock

With all due respect, predictions of a Super Bowl contest based on the second preseason game is a bit of a stretch. There are four regular season games plus the playoffs between now and the hypothetical Super Bowl. Vanilla game plans with no scouting and a season of injuries and evolving O, D & STs based on scouting tend to change things up quite a bit.

The Broncos signed five free agents who became instant starters. The current Backer Corps isn't the same now. There was a new starter at Center and Strong Safety. During the season, many new members of the team including rookies have gotten a lot of game snaps. The OC this year is new. All of that was in the process of being installed during preseason.

Yes, I remember when Seattle was in Denver's division. I remember the American Football League when Denver didn't defeat the Texans/Chiefs once during the Sixties. I understand that fans experience fear. Fortunately, when coaches and teams go through the process of preparing to play against a certain opponent, they have too much on which to focus that they don't have time for fear. Game plans and scouting are designed to produce a victory. No time for worrying about a loss.

I remember when they were in our division, they don't scare me now any more than then. Yep they are a good team, so are we, in fact I would rather have Seatlle than NO. But truthfully, I don't really care who it is, as long as we don't turn the ball over and/or make stupid mistakes, imo we can beat any team in the league.

AMEN! Cough it up a little less and have the D force a few more and we will be unstoppable!

When Denver played Seattle in the Preseason Peyton picked there secondary apart, Ronnie Hillman who is 3rd on out depth chart put the ball out to score a td and
It resulted in a fumble returned 100 yds instead of a td, Denver went right down the field again an Julius thomas fumbled in the red zone resulting in a fg. Then on denvers 3rd possesion manning drove Denver down easily again hitting welker for a td. The kickoff was returned for a td and Manning was pulled.
Both Denver and Seattle played base but Seattle's db's could not cover Denver s receivers. So base a decision on a preseason game that makes no sense!

I get your point but that game is the only reference game we have that is relevant.

*takes a sip of the Broncos' kool aid*

I have totally changed my mind.
                          We got this!

That game was preseason and did not mean a thing.
After all our starters did not even play the whole game.

                          P. Manning and our WR's will dominate the game just like they
                          have every game this year.

                          We got this!

While I agree with your point and all of your examples, I have to say, Seattle has been scary most games this season. Truth be told, so has Denver.

you should fear anyone you see in the playoffs because "history shows" you will likely be sent home.
