Its one thing to get into position to tackle him, quite another to actually tackle him....

"In this playoff game we're gonna focus on stopping marshawn and make Russell Wilson beat us"- says everybody

"We actually stopped marshawn in the playoff game"- says nobody ever

Good luck tackling a dude who doesnt want to be tackled, and has an extra week to rest

Have you seen how big/good our D-line is? We stopped "blount force trauma" and we'll stop Lynch because we can put 7-8 guys in the box because Russell Wilson is not tearing us apart.

Lmao, all the confidence in the world after stopping......blount. Your justification is criminal. Blount is not, nor probably never will be, on marshawns level.

And lol at you thinking 6-7 guys in the box will do the trick. Hell, why dont you just subscribe to new Orleans game plan and put 9-10 guys in the box.

I certainly am not arguing Moreno's effectiveness, but can you be honest with yourself on why he has/is so effective?

              What's your meaning of stop?

              Yardage wise.

75-80, i could live with that.

We've done a pretty good job against the run all year.

Not perfect but about as good as you could ask for.

I dont know if they still stop/shut him down, probably wont happen but make him work hard and wear him down.

                  1. Thats a hell of an average

                  And

                  2. That average still comes about even after we flat out say it to your face; "we're gonna run this ball down your throat, try and stop us"....

Our rushing defense is way better than NO haha they're 7th tied with the shehawks and we're clicking at the right time… lol I bet you don't come back after seattle loses

Not everyone has the best offense in the history of the nfl btw Moreno averages slightly more YPC than "Beast Mode"

The only comparison between moreno and beast mode is effectiveness. Beyond that, marshawn is on another level.

-we line up, say were gonna run this ball down your throat and try to stop us.....and proceed to run it down your throat

-moreno just has the benefit of being with a field general like Peyton. Moreno gets the ball, when Peyton sees the numbers favor him.

Hes a good back, and equally effective, but let's be real. His success is largely dependant upon Peyton mannings reads/audibles

Oh, and how well did that 'best offense in history' work out for the patriots some years back?

                            Let's see:

                            Ray Rice: 36 yards.
                            LeSean McCoy: 73 yards.
                            DeMarco Murray: 43 yards.
                            Maurice Jones-Drew: 71 yards.
                            Alfred Morris: 93 yards.
                            Ryan Matthews: 59 yards./ 127 yards.
                            Jamaal Charles: 78 yards./ 93 yards.
                            Chris Johnson: 46 yards.

                            Playoffs:

                            Woodhead: 29 yards.
                            Vareen: 34 yards.

These are most of the better rushers we faced this season. Out of all of them, only one of them gained over a hundred yards and he's not even the best back we faced. Arguably the top two backs this season were held under 100 yards when we went against Charles and McCoy. Johnson and MJD are no slouches, even in down years. I only listed the top rusher for each opponent in each game. Not even the biggest guy.

If you guys really think Marshawn Lynch is going to go off against this run defense, then I don't know what to tell you. This won't be the first time we've faced a big rushing threat this season. Charles and McCoy tore defenses up all season, yet...they did nothing against us.

I'm not saying he won't have a 100 yard game... but I think you're not being honest with yourself if you think he's going to go flying through 15 tackles again like he did against New Orleans that year.
