You can argue the patriots beat themselves in their last Super Bowl - wes welker drop, brady safety, etc. but you can't say the same about a 40 point whooping. It reminded me of the putrid john elway Super Bowls of the 80s or bills v cowboys.
I'm not in denial at all. In fact my point is that it's far worse than some think. What good is a team that can do what Denver did only to crawl into a hole an die on SB Sunday?

I'd rather have a team that doesn't 'choke' in the big game - and that IS what happened. The SeaGulls weren't that much better than Denver. They were that day blah blah blah

The bottom line is - The Broncos didn't rise to the occasion. And what went wrong that Sunday wasn't about the space between the sidelines - it was about the space between the ears.

Unfortunately Manning brought that part of his legacy with him and it showed it's ugly head again. First play of the game says it all really.

But whatever - I am a Broncos fan and push my chips to the center of the table each and every season.

In 2011, however, the pats beat themselves.
Well at least you have some sense in you.

Patriots two Superbowl losses in 07 & 11 they beat themselves.
This superbowl did look like the 80s beatdowns. In elways defense he didn't have much help, but those losses have helped me get through this one.
You can relate as a Pats fan you guys got a similiar beatdown from the bears in 85.

    Couldn't agree more

This is what I've been saying ever since.

Think about it, we're talking about an offense that put numbers up that the NFL has NEVER seen before - then choked for the superbowl. Hate to say it but that's what happened.

I bet you were sitting on your couch, sweating bullets, when Brady totally surprised the weak Denver secondary with that long bomb down the sideline to, of all people, Edelman!

If that hadn't gone just long, or Manning hadn't, unaccountably, played lights out, we'd be having a different discussion right now, as you well know.
No, you're not right. Remember when the game was 20-3 in the middle of the 3rd quarter? The Broncos just managed the game the rest of the way, and your crybaby coach whining after the game and making himself look a fool and a hypocrite was the icing on the cake.

Actually if our secondary hadn't started dropping like flies the pats are looking really really bad in that game... up to that point the pats barely had 150 yards of Offense....Your guys got schooled

You're right. I can't prove that people in the NFL are abusing Adderal. I just have the common sense to understand that it's happening in spite of my ability to prove it to you lol. Not everyone is equipped to deal with reality I suppose.

Julius Thomas has had enough with the copious praise heaped on Seattle's defense after its unequivocal thumping of the Broncos in the Super Bowl. On Wednesday, the tight end downplayed the Seahawks' physicality.

Julius Thomas: Seahawks didn't beat us -- we did

HaHa....I too say, in a moment of candor, that Denver outplayed NE, especially Peyton...go figure... But it's much more fun to disagree with you!

And don't try to tell me you don't enjoy the banter just as much!
