  • Stand By Your Convictions!

This goes out to the Denver Bronco fans who want to school fellow Bronco fans on choosing Denver to win the Superbowl.
I admit it! I believed Denver would win. I believed so much I flew to New York and went to the game and watched in horror as my team was blown out.
I still dont have any regrets for believing they would win and I still believe they can this year.
When Tebow faced Pittsburgh in the playoffs a few years ago I believed we could win but I new we had a good chance of getting beat, same thing the following week when the Pats blew us out.
Im going to always believe in my team no matter what the odds. I'll argue my position and if I'm wrong I'll admit it, but I aint apologizing to Anybody!

Me either. From 1964 to 1972, I was waiting for a QB as good as Frank Tripucka, and that first winning season. Then, I believed the Broncos would win every SB in which they played including this last one. No apologies.

Good for you I chose the Seahawks but didnt stop me from rooting for the Broncos I tried to get down to NY but had a big meeting monday so I chose to watch the game at home (sucks when you have no vacation time on a brand new job on the week of the SB). I was hoping to be wrong especially after hearing the weather would be better. Though I wish I didnt withold bets on principle because I could have made a lot of money, but no matter how much you believe they will lose you never bet against your own team

Amen 58. I root for my team every week even if I have a bad feeling...

I was sure we were going to win that one. ooops but I stuck it out until I succumbed to the alcohol.

So, are you saying that you are proud that your blind homer faith overrides common sense, logic, and what the tape tells you? I wasn't aware that it was a point of pride to lack the ability to evaluate your own team semi-accurately.

the last thing I actually recall with some clarity is the opening kickoff 2nd half.

It's called loyalty! I grew up watching denver get demolished in 3 super bowls in 86,87,&89.
Once you stand by a team through that you can only back them going forward. Think what you want. If your a real Seahawks fan you have backed a loser for 30 years so get off your high horse!
Oh yeah and your team was in Denver's Division all those years denver was winning afc championships.

Never in my wildest imagination did I think we would beat the Niners in 89... didn't even watch the game and was glad of it.

I still think The Broncos were the better team last year. Just had one of those games where nothing you do goes your way and it happened in the superbowl.

The 1989 Niners game was the only time we were out matched and thats the truth,

My father and I flew from Saskatchewan to New York to watch the game, and although the game was terrible, the trip was amazing! I don't regret for one second believing in my team. On a side note, the New Yorkers were wonderful, they treated us great, even the Seattle fans were great with us. Wonderful experience, would have been even better if I got to fly back home with a Super Bowl champions hat, instead I'm rocking the conference champs hat, but oh well! Still proud of our guys and the wonderful season we had
Here's hoping Champ gets into the Hall First Ballot. He deserves it!

That doesn't mean I thought they would win the Super Bowl every year, that's just idiotic homerism; not "loyalty". I'm also fully aware that we were division rivals for many years. That's part of what made this Super Bowl victory so sweet; knowing it hurt ol' horseface on a deep and personal level.
I hope and believe Denver has a chance out of 32 teams to be crowned the champs every year. I dont think theyll win every year. The 6 Superbowl's I watched them play in I thought they would win. I was 7, 8,&10 years old the first 3 so you could say I chose with my heart.
In 1997 everybody thought Denver would lose to the reigning superbowl champion Packers. The Nfc had also won the last 13 superbowls up to that point. But I thought Denver could pull out the upset. I felt the same way about last years game and I was wrong.
Quit trying to make any bronco fan who thought Denver would win sound like an uneducated football fan. There were a lot of nfl players and analyst who thought Denver could win.
I get it though you wanna milk every bit you can! Enjoy it while it last.

I'll be honest, It's been really rough living here (Seattle area.) I haven't stopped wearing my jerseys, my hat, my colors (This is including the DT jersey with the Super Bowl patch that I bought for the game.) I get a lot of strange looks. Some point and laugh and make jokes at my expense. Some look at me like I'm a one-legged puppy. With cancer. And to each person who asks why I wear my Broncos Gear I say the same thing. "This is my team. Has been my whole life, and I'm not about to stop now just because I'm in 'enemy territory.' Or because my team lost in an embarrassing fashion. Or if they make an unpopular decision regarding a player. It doesn't matter. I'm a real fan. I stick with my team regardless." Something that a lot of people up here don't understand. Don't get me wrong I respect a lot of old school Seahawks fans who have literally been waiting for this their entire life. But so many of the people up here had no clue the Seahawks existed 'til about 12 years ago. You know. When they left a fairly strong division in the AFC West and went to what was at the time the absolute worst division in football.
I believed our chances of winning that game were just as good as the Seahawks. And I can't wait until the Broncos come up here next season. I do plan on getting tickets, and going into Century Link stadium completely decked out and supporting my team. I'm very excited for 2 reasons. 1. I've never been to a game before. 2. I think win or lose people are going to realize that the Super Bowl was a statistical anomaly. The Seahawks are not 35 points a game better than the Denver Broncos. And that's the truth.

Let's look at the convictions of the Seahawks fans here. All but one sign up in their best year before the Super Bowl against us. The one anomaly has been here 4 years and with a giant 90ish posts, most I am sure we can track to broncos/seahawk game days and most post-Super Bowl this year.

For a fan that's has hates us for so long and liked to hurt Elway in this loss you sure haven't come here in the past.....oh wait your team wasn't relevant until recently.
