What about the first week of the regular season when you gave up 27 points to baltimore? Quit making excuses for your 19th ranked defense. You are what you are - an average D, who got marginally better with miller coming back. Perhaps good enough to be a top 15 D this year.
Your right Von doesn't make a difference. Besides the fact he is there best player and last time he played an entire season they were #2 defense in the league and lead the league in sacks. Champ Bailey not playing in those contests probably hurt a little bit to since they depend on him to lock down teams #1 receiver.
The Baltimore game Welker fumbled a punt at the on which lead to a td. Baltimore added another td off a Trevethan pick six he decided to drop at the one, rolled in the endzone and Baltimore capitalized vs Denvers backup defense playing a prevent up 42-20. Minus those mistakes the score have very easily been 56-13.
Go ahead and focus on one game Denver played without their top two players on defense and keep telling yourself Denver had a 19th ranked d that got them to the Superbowl.

Oh I'm sorry - von miller would have made the broncos the bestest defense in the world since the 2000 ravens. My mistake.
Super Bowl Wins: Brady - 6 Elway - 2 Manning - 2 (played well in none and took HGH)

      • Patton would have been good for about a five yard gain. Bouldin wasn't wide open, IIRC ETIII was in a position to cover. It doesn't matter, Kaep had decided to go Crabtree based on a pre-snap read because it was one on one coverage. Bad decision.

            • I think opposing fans are underestimating Von millers force when he's at his best. For example, he has 35 sack in his career. Jj watt has 36.5 and hey were both drafted the same year. Not to mention Miller missed multiple games last year. So from a pass rush standpoint, Miller is a force to be reckoned with.

                  Let em keep talking.

Anyone who has an ounce of football IQ, knows he's a game-wrecker when healthy/motivated.

Lot of players come back just fine after it, but we'll wait and see.

yeah i know, but i am just saying some are never the same......

especially when you look at millers strengths of his game, which is explosion off the los. that surgically repaired knee could effect his explosiveness.

like you said, we will see.
