The truth continues to irritate the Sparkler fan that wakes up every day knowing his teams trophy case is full of dust and will continue to remain in that ugly condition for a long, long, long time. I'm amazed you haven't dumped the Chargers and become a Chiefs or Raiders fan. You know, two teams with an overall very good history when compared to the Sparkettes. I guess you can at least start thinking about better success in the next decade....say... 2025.

sorry, i am not a front runner like most fans out there you mean? why do you think the teams with multiple SB rings have such huge fan bases? i have more respect for fans that stick with their teams no matter what than teams like the Denver broncos because the vast majority of them are only fans because they jumped on the bandwagon at some point.

I don't talk much in the smack forum as if honest 99% of people in here is more clued up with goings on in the NFL than myself who is mainly a 'soccer' fan from the UK who doesn't get anywhere near the same NFL coverage as yourself's.

As for the trophy talk, what is actually wrong with that? Celtic supporting friends wind me up constantly about them winning a European Cup in 1967, we return the favour reminding them we have 54 league titles, it's something fans of successful teams will always do to less successful teams, seems like the Chargers fans don't like it as there is no real comeback for it except saying its 'weak' smack or using the Seahawks SB win to counter with. I understand that too I became a FC Porto fan for the summer of 03 as they beat Celtic in the UEFA cup final, all used just to annoy Celtic supporting friends.
here is the thing, i have been here for the last 8 years and when the broncos have been the inferior team, all you seen in smack was threads about how the chargers do not have SB rings and i am not exaggerating about that, the broncos fans that have been here this whole time know that i am right. now that the broncos are the best team in the division, you don't ever see smack like that.

why not you ask? because trophy smack is something they use when they are left with nothing else to say. i am not impressed by fans where most of them are only fans because their team was successful a couple decades ago and then brag about that success because their current team sucked.

now that their team is good again, they stop using trophy smack for the most part.....it is most definitely weak smack and they all know it.

For the most part I agree with you regarding "jump on the bandwagon" fans. I get it. Sometimes it's obvious to identify them but how do you truly know and not just accuse the fans of the Broncos that they must be bandwagon fans because they post on this Form supporting the Broncos when they are succeeding. You can't lump all of us together as if no Bronco fan would show up here if the Broncos were a consistent sub-par team.

I'm not on the "Bronco Bandwagon". I grew up in Colorado Springs in the 60's and 70's and lived in Denver in 1977-78 when we went to our first super bowl (12) and were humiliated by the Cowboys. Double whammy! I paid my dues as a fan for three more super bowl losses, SB 21-22-24, none of them even close. Then finally, 97 and 98, back to back super bowl wins. How sweet was it? I realized after all the agony from the previous four Bronco lopsided super bowl loses, I could now "DIE IN PEACE". As you know, there are many fans of many sports teams that live to an old age and never experience their team winning the "Big One".

I believe the vast majority of Bronco fans on this Form are true fans who will stick with the Denver Broncos through thick and thin for the rest of their lives and continue "talking smack" just like you!

yeah, i agree most of the fans that go to the forums are hardcore loyal fans but the vast majority of all fans in the NFL fall in the category that i spoke about.

but don't be amazed i haven't dumped he chargers in the 30 years i have been a fan, i have waited patiently for a long time for them to get it done. maybe they never do but as long as i am alive, i'm not going to stop being a fan and support the team i love.

Props to you, I respect that. A quick story. I have a 35 yr. old co-worker who has been a Charger fan since he was a little kid. He became disgruntled and decided to start being a fan of the Texans a couple of years ago when they were hot. So much for that move. He's back with the Chargers this year but still frustrated.

A true fan loves their team forever.

I have been a fan of the Chargers since the 60's. I stepped foot on Balboa stadium quite a few times back in the day. Growing up a San Diego native you will never pry my hands away from the Chargers, win or lose, trophy or no trophy.
Sorry Denver Haters...I've been on an extended business trip....:thumb:

That's the way it should be. I never understand fans who swap. I got a couple buddies who were Niner fans growing up and now are Raider fans. That's like driving a 1967 Camaro and trading it In for an 83 Pinto!

I started out a Chiefs fan because I grew up in Kansas and that's who my parents cheered for. As soon as I was old enough to understand I switched to Denver and never once looked back. That was probably 15-16ish years ago. Just because you grew up in a family of fans of one team doesn't mean you can't eventually change.

Now on the flip side of that what annoys me is I have an in-law that started out a chargers fan, moved to Denver and decided to cheer for them, lives in Kansas now and thinks the Chiefs show some potential...make your mind up already.

I don't think you should have to root for your families team, it's kinda like religion, you go to your parents church while you live in their house but you decide what your going to believe when you move out.
Glad you chose to be a Bronco fan. My in laws are niner fans but they have #2,#3 & #4 favorite teams I don't get that one either.
