Hardly the reason why I hate football. I hate football because of a single individual player and am going to be boycotting the NFL for that single individual player once that single individual player starts.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Thats easy for you to do because starting Johnny is admitting the seasons done for the Browns

Sure, but it also sends the message that Cleveland is throwing in the towel for the foreseeable future as well. Including next season and any point beyond which Manziel starts.

            Well that's kind of dumb.

Oh, and to add to everything he has done. There is this from yesterday.

I will let you read his lips. "I would've _____ hit him".

Seeing him wearing those colors is a disgrace to every single player that wore them before him. It is a slap in the face to Otto Graham, Jim Brown, Marion Motley, Lou Groza, Dante Lavelli, et al.

Does that mean when Manziel starts we won't be seeing you on this board?

Why do you have to wait for him to start?

I just spend several posts explaining a bit.

He is an extreme narcissist and the polar opposite of a role model. I hated Tebow, but if it was Tebow I would be fine with it. But it isn't him. It is Manziel. Manziel is an extreme narcissist with no care for his teammates - his only care is his ridiculous moniker which I REFUSE to lend any credence to. There is his money phone incident, there is his "Money Sign" which he did because he took money while playing in college (that is why he does it - to send a message to the NCAA), that is what he is all about. $$$$$$$$$$$! Not about team, not about anything commendable. Just about advancing his own trademarked moniker and rolling in $$. Look online at all the trademarks he has. He has trademarked anything and everything "Johnny" related. It is surprising that he hasn't tried suing Jack Nicholson for coming up with "Here's Johnny!" Cartoon Network had better watch out because it is only a matter of time until he finds out about "Johnny Bravo".

He parties non-stop as well. Look at the brawl that he was involved in a week or two ago. Let's not forget about him giving his best Todd Marinovich impression:

When I see Manziel I see Ryan Leaf, Todd Marinovich, JaMarcus Russell, and Andre Ware all rolled into one person.

It isn't just Manziel I hate either. I cannot stand Haslam - the new owner. He is as dirty as they come. There is no other NFL owner under federal investigation like he is. A dirty owner with an equally dirty player.

He reminds me of another owner the Browns had in my lifetime.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but your dislike for him is only hurting you. He's never gonna care about your silent protect. He's winning, it seems to me.

As for his money and trademarking, that's just good business sense. For better or worse he's got a name and a following, he better protect himself. He may never do anything in the NFL but at least for the time being he should do what he can do. Most players do the same when they get some kind of moniker, they protect it.

As for his habits/behavior...I seriously doubt he's the first or the last to have them. He's just constantly watched. In the 15 other games yesterday how many QB's missed a pass and when that happened how many times did the broadcaster have a camera man focus on the backup QB? None, ha. At least he's paying attention and wants to be in there.

I'll say one thing for him, he is who he is and is and not putting up a front. I know exactly what I'm dealing with in Manziel.

I know and I don't care. It is about my values. He goes against anything and everything I believe in.

I refuse to endorse anything that he stands for.

The moment he is named the starter over Hoyer, I am walking away.

All right man, well good luck.

I can't imagine them wanting to see any more of Hoyer. I haven't watched much but he looked to me like Orton 2.0 this weekend.

I've always been a Brees fan, I would have loved for Denver to have picked him up. Especially in hindsight. Rivers, nah, you can keep him.
