I am with you... I believe he meant playoff atmosphere in terms of it being a prime time game with major implications for the rest of the season. Had a playoff feel with the toughness of the game.

Regarding the browner hit, initial contact appeared to be shoulder to shoulder... Concussion was caused by the whip lash. Browner did everything he possibly could to avoid contact to green s head or a helmet to helmet hit. Bang bang play. But that is what happens when you bobble the ball coming across the middle of the field

people are trying to say he didn't hit him in the head, well......that's odd because green got a concusion from the hit and was ko'ed on the field, i wonder how that happened??

in the end it doesn't change anything other than the fact that people think they know more than they actually do, even some idiots in the media.
Wow! .....Pulling the uneducated football fan card because I don't agree with your biass opinion! I was actually going for San Diego which you know and I cant stand Browner the guy could be called for holding on every play. What I saw was your receiver not being able to secure the ball and Browner went shoulder first after the ball. I guess he should have waited for him to catch it and then tackled him.....Dumb!
This photo shows his sholder lower than the ball!

Oh and Baphs since you know football so much better than an idiot like me, why hasn't the NFL fined Browner?

BARELY any contact was made with the helmet or neck... Get the other angle it's the definition of shoulder to shoulder. Browner went out of his way to avoid contact with the helmet

I was being sarcastic off of baps insistence that his concussion without a doubt means helmet to helmet

This angle you can see he is dipping his shoulder putting it at chest level. Charger fans are just bitter.

Still he went in high, and injured a player in the process. Weather it was technically helmet to helmet or not, safety is the main goal of these newer tackling rules. Any time a player grazes a QB's helmet they give him 15 yards, multiple games have decided by more ridiculous penalties than the one that was called on Browner.

And what does it matter anyway? Ya'll were the better team and you won, end of story.

not bitter at all, again our guy suffered a concussion from the hit and was laying on the ground KO'ed. show the other angle of the picture, that picture doesn't proven he didn't get hit in the jaw which he most definitely did, otherwise he wouldn't have a severe concussion right now.

it definitely was not helmet to helmet, but he was a defenseless receiver and a defenseless receiver cannot be hit in the head with any part of your body including the shoulder.

and ya, it doesn't matter because it didn't change the outcome of the game in any way. but people claiming it was a clean hit are just wrong and do not know the rules. my main gripe is with the classless pats fans booing the call when green was KO'ed on the ground, that angered me a little bit at the time.

enough contact to KO him om the field though, correct? i wouldn't call that "barely" by any means.

Baphs we all know where you stand and no one is trying to change your mind. (Your either to prideful or arrogant to ever have conversation and agree with someone else)
I grew up watching Ronnie Lott, Steve Atwater, and your very own Rodney Harrison. That collision Sunday night was nothing. Emmanuel Sanders took a way worse hit vs St. Louis, was ko'd, concussion and the hit was legal in my eyes.
I'll let you pout in peace!!!!

Have to agree with you. It was a high hit on a defenseless receiver. That is a flag all day.

Yeah launching yourself high at a defenseless WR will draw a flag every time. I don't understand why not go for the numbers instead of going for the head. But instead of going for the head players aim for the knees which lead to just as many injuries. Safest place to aim is to aim center mass which avoids injuries for both players, but you don't get the high light knock outs.

see the underlined? that goes for most people in the smack section dude. by the way, i watched the same players you mentioned and that was a different time with different rules.

harrison was labeled a cheap shot artist even back then. also, my issue isn't so much with the hit itself rather than the classless badwgon SD pat fans who were booing the call while green lay on the field KO'ed.
