Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Mike McCoy wouldn’t openly complain, but he did make a plea.
“We’ve got a huge game coming this weekend,” the Chargers head coach said Monday. “We need as many Chargers fans as we can get. I urge you not to sell your seats.”
Looks like Charger fans aren't good listeners
There were easily more orange jerseys there than anything. That was pathetic lol
And did I mention it was "Fan Appreciation Day" too? HA!
I can't say KC because they show up to watch their team, I remember that year they sucked and got the #1 pick, even when we played them, their fans showed up.
Especially when compared to Denver or KC, neither Oakland nor SD have any excuses. In good weather or bad you'll see Arrowhead or Sports Authority filled.
I could only imagine if we ever got snow here in SD what the turn out would be at the Q. Embarrassing.
Baph will tell you it's because the weather is nice in SD and they're doing other things, or that it's a transplant city. Couldn't possibly be 50 years of futility

its all those things, they will only support a winner, which is why you seen so many broncos fans in the stadium and pats fans last week. socal is full of bandagoners and they help the chargers sell out games lol
I read that san diego has one of the largest collection of alternative lifestyle bars in the country, so its obvious charger fans are too busy with other things to be bothered with going to a NFL game.
But im sure the tvs are on in the bars and they can still watch the Broncos beat the Chargers and win their 4th straight division title and doing it all on the Chargers homefield.
As a matter of fact there isnt much differance between what the Broncos did to the Chargers today and what happens to Charger fans at the bars.

Well.. It does make it real easy to not give a damn about an 8-8 football team when you could be outside doing numerous other things
Hasn't stopped Cowboys fans from showing up at home however many years in a row...
i'm telling you, it's socal. the football culture is far different there than it is in the entire state of texas. in texas and many other places, football is like a religion. in socal, football and every other sport is no big deal, it's just something to do on the weekends.
it's not going to be any different in LA either, if you don't win they won't support you and just go do something else that day. again, no big deal to them.
i remember when i first moved here to omaha when i was in my early teens from SD and was blown away how the entire state would shut down just when the huskers would play. at the time that was weird and foreign to me, now it's weird how sports fans in socal don't even care about college football or the NFL really.
had i stayed living there i might be the same way.

Since I can remember, Sundays have always been planned around when 'the game' is on during football season. You make it sound as if they consider it something to do like watching a movie or playing Yahtzee. For real?

Inhabitants of Denver do other things as well, usually in the mountains. When I was going to school in Gunnison 1970-74, and sometimes drove to Denver for the weekend on Friday afternoon, traffic would come toward me two, three and sometimes four lanes abreast on 285 in South Park. It's a two-lane highway.
Mile High Stadium has been sold out since 1970, I believe. That was several years before the first winning season. In the AFL West/AFCW division, Denver fans are the craziest and most obsessed which probably translates into the best.

But why? You guys were in the playoff race, KC was 1-2 when they played NE, and their fans made it hard on Brady, you guys had a winning record and was in the 5th seed when playing NE. Then Last week you guys could of kept maybe the 6th seed had you win, Wheres the passion? Now if you guys were the Raiders I would understand since they aren't going anywhere this year.
Don't give me this bullcrap about "we can't beat the best teams in the NFL" because did you guys forget you beat Seattle and made Richard Sherman look like just another CB.
