  • The Most Overrated GM 4 for 4

The most overrated GM in the league (according to Baphs) has now won 4 Afc West titles in a row. Only one other GM has achieved 4 division titles in its first four years.
I hear that he just got lucky with Peyton but look at all the gems on our Roster:
    RB - CJ Anderson
    RB - Juwan Thompson
    TE - Julius Thomas
    TE - Virgil Green
    CB - Chris Harris
    LB - Brandon Marshall
    LB - Danny Trevelyan
    DL - Malik Jackson
DL - Pot Roast (nobody wanted this guy in Free agency)
Word is Elway is behind the run heavy offense that is winning games and the defense Elway put together is coming together.
Elway is one of the top 5 GM'S in the league!

This is the first time Denver has won four consecutive Division Titles.

Elways attacking that front office position like he attacked defenses, he is doing a really good job in there.
he has had a few bad moves in my opinion (Elvis, Prater) but he seems to always counter those bad moves with a ton of good ones. its like a qb throwing a pick six then comming back in the game and tossing 5 touchdowns for the win...

Gonna be a tight race for executive of the year... Can't ignore what BB has done this year Adding ayers and Casillas at the deadline (both of whom have been studs). Revis, browner and Lafell in free agency. Browner and Lafell have been steals.

in my best Bap impersonation: but Elway had loads of cap space to sign big money free agents putting the team in cap hell in a few years, any Gm can spend millions and buy talent...that doesn't make Elway a good GM, hes just writeing multi million dollar checks

I don't care what he does as long as the team keeps winning.

Taking of the orange covered glasses, what Detroit has done to improve is impressive (considering Houston wont make the playoffs). Ihedigbo has made that D dangerous, and Tate relieves pressure off Johnson and gives help to Stafford. The player that Seattle fans were calling overrated and useless at times has proven with the right system and a better QB he can shine

Yes I know all of our high draft picks. I was calling the other guys gems because they weren't household names. They were guys that Elway found.

i know this is a jab at me, fair enough dude. but it's funny it took them halfway through this season to realize they needed to lean on the running game, something i was preaching since the day you lost in the SB lol

don't tell me they did because we all know they adjusted on the fly mid-season.

Dont act like your some football expert

We all talked about abandoning the run last yr and specifically in the sb

And they did it because the overrated gm put his footdown on gase and fox demanding they establish the run after the rams game

And it would seem the ability to change on the fly ....is a good thing

It mostly took a while because they couldnt find a set of blockers that made the run game work and stay healthy, they tried it with Green but he got injured. Theyve moved more people around then any team, and that includes you with your injuries. We also had to change our blocking scheme with different personnel and one that favors the run game. It isnt that easy to change.

Only someone who doesnt actually know football would think it would be that simple to change offensive philosophy

well i know football, and if it were me i would have installed that offense during OTA's and TC

it was clear by the players you brought in and how the offense didn't change much at all from the year before that the running game was an afterthought going into the season.

They did put it in during OTAs and preseason..when our Blocking TE went down for a considerable amount of the season it had to take a back seat to wins..you will notice the running games turn around came with Greens return. The first 3 games of the season we ran 2 TE sets a lot http://www.nfl.com/player/virgilgreen/2495288/gamelogs Nobody but me noticed this?
