That's right I said it, tell ya mamma too. If the Bills defense gave you that much trouble AT HOME.... you got problems coming to Denver.

Coming from a team that almost lost to the Browns and squeaked by the Bears! lol

And lost to 2 teams with losing record when you played them lol!

You've had the easiest schedule in the league. Who have the patriots played?

the pats are statistically the number 1 defense in the NFL in terms of PPG (the only stat that matters). and they are the number 2 rushing D in the league.

                  "in terms of ppg" haha

Denver is number 1 in TOTAL DEFENSE dummy and its not even close. Pansies aren't even top 5.

Bills don't even have a top 5 defense and they hit Brady 10 times or more last night.. What do you think denvers defense is gonna do to him?

Pats D has definitely been balling out lately. Not ahead by much in the PPG category .1 and Denver's pick 6's go against our D, but that isn't that Pats fault. I think this game is going to be a Defensive struggle would surprise me if it wasn't.

the only thing that matters is which team allows fewer points on sunday.

Agreed. It will be a hard fought game. Hopefully both teams come out of it injury-free.

Stats don't tell the whole story... particularly in this case.

To understand how great/good/mediocre/bad NE's rushing defense is, we need to look at who the BradyBunch have played this year and where each of their opponents rank in rushing offense (yards/game).... starting at the bottom and working our way up.

                            NYG... #26 in the league.
                            WAS... #25
                            JAX... #24
                            IND... #20
                            MIA... #19
                            NYJ... #14
                            DAL... #8
                            PIT... #6
                            BUF (twice)... #5.

Bottom line, NE has faced only three teams in the top 10 in rushing offense... BUF, PIT and DAL.

So let's look closer at BUF. Against NE, BUF gained 160 yds. on the ground in the first meeting... and then 94 yds. last night. Averaging those two yields 127 yds./game, which would put NE's effort at stopping the run in those two games at #28 overall (equivalent to SF and PHI)... not very impressive is it?

And let's also look closer at PIT, who NE played without Bell, yet PIT rushed for 134 yards in that game, which puts NE's effort at stopping the run in that game at #30 overall (equivalent to WAS and NO)... again, not very impressive.

Lastly, let's look at DAL, who, without Romo started Brandon Weeden and compiled 102 yards on the ground, which puts NE's effort in stopping the run in that game at #13, which is slightly better than middle of the pack.

So you see, stats by themselves can be misleading.

In context, the BradyBunch rush defense is not that impressive.
"Mike Harden, meet Steve Largent." KA-BOOM!!
