Hmmm - and I thought it was because Denver was the better team. Never considered the possibility of intervention by a higher power to punish the Pats for their perceived transgressions. Who knew.....

    • Wins are wins, and road wins are particularly good, but this one leaves me with some concerns.

Super Bowl Wins: Brady - 6 Elway - 2 Manning - 2 (played well in none and took HGH)

Main concern for me is of course the Broncos offensive line. Oh and the excuses from Big Al (former self proclaimed Bronco great). lol

Anyway big Al consistently states that no offensive line throughout the league will ever be as dominant as they once were due to the fact that they are not allowed pads and hit each other like they once did in practice.

I do agree with this statement however I also feel that it is a major copout because there are very strong and consistent offensive lines throughout the league and I believe the Broncos have seen two of them already in Tampa Bay and in Atlanta.

They don't have to be anything like the teams we had here in the late 90s but there is a ton of room for them to get better.

Another area of concern for me where I am seeing a lot of error is by our inside linebackers. I don't Believe that Danny T was truly appreciated around here in Denver until this year after he left via free agency.

No I won't use that as an excuse I don't believe in excuses, we have to roll with who we have and get better!

However Danny T was one heck of a cover linebacker for us and with that it just makes me want to see the guys that we do have succeed and get better.

Guy like of course Brandon Marshall and Todd Davis but I am under the impression that maybe we should move Brandon Marshall back to his original position where he excelled and out performed, while allowing somebody like Zaire Anderson or Cory Nelson the opportunity to start in place of the departed Danny T.

If we can get those three areas under control and playing lights out then we're back in contention for the AFC West, the AFC and eventually the Super Bowl.

And since this is the Broncos and Pats comparison thread, I will say that this team was built to beat the patriots and if they get those two areas where they want them to be, clicking on all cylinders, they will steamroll the patriots and everyone else in the league again as they did last season!

What concerns, they play down to their competition. It was a solid road win in Pitt and on to the bills and Rex Ryan. Probably second hardest game left on schedule other then Seattle but that's at home.

Elaborate please, I remember the Broncos beating the Patriots twice last year and I am positive the Broncos are the defending Superbowl champions.
So i'm not sure what you think you won last year.

                  • Good win on the road for the Broncos - horrendous officiating on the Extra point attempt with 2 missed calls, but that's nothing new for the NFL. Some days you're the windshield and some days your the bug...

2? Name them.. i give you the miss on the sideline even though i disagree that it was missed. If you are talking about Crick holding down the centers head..perfectly legal and an outstanding design by our ST coach.
