While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

I'm surprised that they are even allowed to start a new thread.
I'm going to make them a thread where they can post all their garbage and hopefully the mods will play along and move any troll like thread that they come up into this particular thread that is made just for them.

Sam, you seem very angry and upset. I only post what is widely available to people who dabble in the NFL gaming industry. Don't take it personally.

What would be funny as to allow them to start that new thread and then bump it to the threat that was made for them maybe it might get the trolling under control but who knows.

I could see if you did it in a way to which you were just presenting the totals for the AFC West division but no you had a troll and throw in the New England Patriots who have nothing to do with this division. Do you see the trolling?
Why don't you make a post for the AFC East and throw them in there keeping it separate.
mark my words dude, i know i'm a homer and all but this season is going to be a battle between the raiders and chargers for the division, it's going to be epic!!
I was actually excited for the Chargers thinking they would draft Desaun Watson but nooo they once again shoot themselves in the ass. Thst is why I really don't acknowledge them. The ownership hurts them way to much. Spanos, need I say more! Smh.
nobody wanted them to draft a QB in the first, except our rivals. had they done that, that means they're looking ahead and are not trying to win now. with the pieces they have in place, that would have been foolish.

Well I can't fault you for having optimism but in this case it could be a lack of optimism!
Do you truely believe that Williams can come out the gate and make a huge difference in order for your team to win right now? Considering a whole new coaching staff for the team and a relocation?
Not to mention the superstars CBs and DBs he is going to face in this division! Epic failure is more likely to occur for anyone placing so much faith in a rookie to come out the gate swinging in a win now mode in this type of situation.

ive touched on all these points but i will rehash it just for you, because i like you sam
the chargers could have done nothing this offseason but bring all the same players back and they would be a borderline playoff team IMO, assuming the injuries didn't continue to the same degree at key positions.
in the first two weeks of the season last year, the chargers lost their top 2 offensive weapons (keenan allen, danny woodhead) but they were still a good team offensively and pretty good defensively.
they jumped all over playoff caliber teams only to choke in the 4th quarter of multiple games early in the season, that right there was primarily a coaching issue IMO and the most important thing to remember is they did have a good offense at that point.
they had the #2 passing attack in the NFL for the first 4 or 5 weeks and that's without allen and woodhead who were a big part of that passing attack, especially allen. that's also with a terrible OL because that OL was pretty healthy all season, they were just a bad unit.
even before allen tore his acl in that first game against the chiefs, he was working marcus peters like cheap labor. i'm sure you are well aware of allen's ability when he is healthy.
so....to your point about williams. he doesn't have to come in and be the huge difference maker between this year and last year. the biggest thing that needs to happen is the chargers need to stay relatively healthy and they need to improve along the OL.
williams can sit out the year and that effect on the offense will be minute in comparison to the effect those other key injuries and the play of the OL will have on the offense.
getting allen back and healthy, getting the OL back on track with the three new potential starters they've added, plugging williams into that offense to help and provide depth and insurance for allen's injury concerns, getting better run blocking, getting better pass protection for rivers.
those are all things that will make an already good offense become potentially great. if you have allen on one side, mike williams on the other, and tyrell williams (who broke out last season) in the slot, who is best in space i might add. then consider hunter henry (lead all TE's in TD's as a rookie) and gates, melvin gordon who proved he can do it all.......with an improved OL? why would i not be optimistic?
allen will also be drawing a lot of double teams, if williams is left on an island he will flourish and even if they decide to shut down williams by doubling him, allen will destroy you if left one on one.
if the chargers threw all that away and picked watson and decided to build for the future? that would have been a terrible idea. rivers can still play, he wants to still play, and he has multiple years left on his contract.
next season, the much better QB draft, that is the year to draft rivers' replacement IMO.
all that said, i am a little more concerned about the defense, that safety position is a concern. interior DL with mebane getting up there in age is a concern, as well as depth there. but the chargers still have a good nucleus overall, two stud pass rushers, two stud corners, a few up and coming LB'ers.
to top it off, the last two drafts have been really good. yeah i'm excited and optimistic but those injuries may strike again especially with allen, thats my #1` concern at this point and yet another reason why i think williams was the right choice, even if it was a bit of a reach.
