Brady is not going to save your team in all of the games they play. Welcome to reality.

What does it matter whose defense or offense is ranked higher if you don’t win the super bowl?
Super Bowl Wins: Brady - 6 Elway - 2 Manning - 2 (played well in none and took HGH)

Smith didnt run because he didnt have too not because you played contain. The other 2 ran because in truth its the first thing they do when the primary is covered. Your defense just sucks
You are making my point. Playing contain as a strategy against running QBs only works if the DBs lock down the receivers. Since our DBs were blowing coverages left and right, Alex Smith had a field day.

                Just saying.
Every year is different. In 2015 you were 13-3 and had home field advantage. This year you probably won’t be so lucky with KC and Pittsburgh most likely getting the 1 and 2 seeds.

Do you understand how our defense works? We stop the run, their run game won't be able to put up the numbers or points it typically does, we don't give up first downs by air or ground (we've given up 9 first downs on the ground this year)

So theoretically, no we don't need to score points. if our defense holds them to 17 points, we just have to score 18. With the way our defense is playing, that isn't unrealistic at all.

KC won't win more than 10 games. Everyone is all sorts of hyped up about them because they beat you. They are overrated and will come crashing back to earth this week when they lose to the Texans.

Now all of a sudden the texans are a good team? A few weeks ago when NE beat them they were below average according to you all...

I agree Houston will beat them on sunday.

How many QBs making their playoff debut win the super bowl the same year? I can only think of Tom Brady and Kurt Warner.

First you have to have a realistic chance to win the Superbowl . Whats the saying "Offense wins Championships"? Nah that's not it...what was it

There have been teams with bad/average regular season defenses that end up winning the super bowl - 2009 Saints, 2006 Colts, 2011 Giants and 2007 Giants. Once you get in the tournament, anything can happen. The key is to be playing your best defensive football in January. By the same token, I have seen great NE patriots teams play awesome early on in the season only to struggle when it counted the most. This is why I keep saying throw the September/October stats out the window.

This Denver defense is not the 85’ bears, 00’ Ravens or 02’ Bucs. For that formula to work (ie- shut opponents down defensively and score just enough to win), you really need have the ability to annhiliate teams defensively. Denver almost lost to Oakland because they couldn’t score enough points. Denver should have won that game handily by a score of 30-10. What do you think Ben Roethlisberger will do? Or Alex Smith?
