  • Jaguars were disrespected by Steelers before rematch

This is a classic example of why players should never, ever, ever publicly talk or tweet about overlooking the next opponent as if a trip to New Engalnd was guaranteed. Former Bronco Malik Jackson knows if you pretend a game against his team will not and does not need to happen, somehow that trash will end up in downtown Jacksonville.

In case you are not aware, this is one of the things Jackon was referring to:

    What were the Steelers thinking?

Fans can talk trash all they want, but obviously players should not do it through the media.

This is smack correct? OK....well, this is basically a Broncos board, so many of us who were pulling for The Steelers, probably because we thought they might be the better fit against The Pats, are likely moving on. Many of us are going to pull for The Jax.

Not much smack here (other than player smack talk I presume), unless you take this to a Steelers' board. :2cents:

      He wasn't smacking the fans.

Smack forum would be pretty empty if everyone took it to the other teams' MBs. Which would be fine with me.

I was saying players should no t smack other players like the Steelers did.

Why do you think LeVeon Bell overlooked a team that beat him big earlier this season? I would say he was not htinking about the consequences.

They're contract entertainers (that are all in the same union). Once the jerseys come off, they can all be friends. Well, except for maybe Vontaze Burfict...he might not be invited to too many shindigs.

Whatever "smack" they're laying down before games is little different from two boxers hurling mud to hype. Then, after they beat the crap out of each other, they can be buddies again.

If I had to guess, I'd say playing in a contract year is the ultimate motivator.
          To infinity...and beyond.

Okay, so I went to a few other team's boards and really laid it on pretty heavy-- I mean I threw back some Beam and let my inner-freak run wild. Trust me when I say their CoC is nothing like ours and told them 'Peanut from the Broncos sent me'. :thumb:

                    Hmmm.

                    Rancid's "inner-freak". So many images.

So they banned you immediately, right? One of the mods from the Ravens MB might remember me. Kind of doubt it, though. I'm kind of shy.

But now they're doing the same thing and talking smack before their game with NE. How dumb to say you're going into Foxboro and you're winning before the game is played. Just shut up.

And naturally it required a response from Brady who said, it's not what you say, it's what you do on the field.

I think it's stupid and gives NE bulletin board material. Idiots.
