i wasn't even talking about trophies and no i didn't bring it up, assmaster did. saying the chargers haven't won anything in 50 years (which is the same tired smack he always runs) is incredibly irrelevant to today's football.

even if you're talking incompetent ownership, the current owners haven't been the same owners over that span. using that same logic, the eagles should have never been able to win the SB last year, since they haven't in the previous 50 years or whatever.

I agree, its just as dumb as claiming a team with a solid core, who greatly improved in the qb department, improved the pass blocking, drafted great potential in the passing game, and already had a better run game and only improved it

IMO if the broncos offense improves dramatically with keenum, elway bringing in keenum is a success regardless of the final record. i do think you put far too much stock into wins and losses, rather than judging players by their actual performance, it's really odd.

so a guy drafted by the bolts, who was on ir last season will fix the bolts oline

but having a 1st rnd LT going into his second year, getting Leary back from IR, having Paradis finally fully healthy and replacing watson and Stephenson who statistically were two of the worst pass blocking RT in the league with a better pass blocker, while also replacing a huge weakness in Garcia with a guy who played much better in McGovern

oh and the difference between Elway not winning a superbowl and rivers potentially winning one is

Elway made it to 3 superbowls out of four conference championship games with under talented teams compared to the NFC, did it with a coach that refused to play to elways strengths until he needed a comeback

rivers made it to 1, with a loaded team and still lost and hasn't sniffed another

that's why Denver fans had hope...because we knew with a good offensive team behind him we could win one
