Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

first of all, where did i say the chargers franchise is valued higher or worth more than the broncos franchise? i love how you broncos fans totally make crap up because you have nothing else to bring to the smack table.
second of all.....that graphic isn't even correct according to Forbes, where the info comes from.

38. Los Angeles Chargers, $2.275 billion, 9% (NFL)
NFL teams dominate the ranks of the 50 most valuable sports franchises with 29 entries. The NBA (8 teams), soccer (7) and MLB (6) round out the top 50.
but is that really your smack angle? your team is worth more than mine? there are teams worth less than the chargers that have better history, a way bigger fan base, and rings. how does that happen?
lastly, look at the cowboys and how much they are worth? that is an average team at best currently......see how that works? the value of a team doesn't necessarily reflect how good a team is currently, same logic applies to past championships.
a lot of you will never be able to grasp that simple logic.

I, for one, would not lose any sleep if I owned the Chargers and was only that far behind in value considering that my team was worth over 2.2 BILLION dollars.

The only things I have left to say about the Chargers is that the last (only) time they played in the Super Bowl, most of the population had no idea what the internet was?
-The league was 28 teams.
-Cities that didn't have NFL teams at the time: Charlotte, Jacksonville, Baltimore, St Louis (before the Rams), Nashville.
-DVDs had yet to be invented
-The Dow Jones still had yet to breakthrough the 4000 barrier
-Seinfeld, ER, Home Improvement and Grace Under Fire were the top 4 TV shows
-The OJ Simpson trial had just begun
-The Colorado Avalanche were still the Quebec Nordiques
-Michael Jordan was retired...the first time
-The World Series had just been cancelled for the only time in history
Think about how distant most of these things seem, and now realize they're all equal to the last time the Chargers played in the Super Bowl. Perhaps one day they'll get a real QB like Stan Humphries again, right now they've got the overrated stats compiler who piles up the numbers in losses, but can be counted on to throw a bad interception when the chips are on the table.
