Feel for the Raiders fans here.
Terrible deal. Even though you technically won the trade...terrible deal.

Early reports of the Mack deal.
Khalil Mack and the Bears just reached agreeement on a record-setting 6-year, $141 million extension ($23.5M per year avg) that includes $90M guaranteed and $60M at signing, source tells ESPN. Mack is the new highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.

Trade official, source tells ESPN:
Bears get: Khalil Mack, a 2020 second-round round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick.
Raiders get: 2019 first-round pick, 2020 first-round pick, 2020 third-round pick, 2019 sixth-round pick.
So Bears get back second-round pick, too
lol bears won that trade!!

Without knowing the exact trade details, and presuming it's 2 firsts and a player, unless that player is of high quality, I give The Bears the win. There are not many Khalil Mack's out there. When you have a super star you keep them...unless you get one of those deals you can not refuse. But those are few. As are Khalil Macks.
I am not sure quite yet what is going on in Oakland, and if in fact Gruden was a good choice.....because for his price, it was a terrible decision by The Raiders. So, it appears there is disarray out there these days. Maybe a nice exit to Vegas is what this team is going to need, to start anew.
As for The Bears....again assuming the player involved in the deal is not a top level talent, they will be instantly a better team! They have a nice young O, which should be fun this year as long as Trubisky keeps improving, and now their D has taken a large step forward. Sure, they will miss the 1st rounders....but none of those picks is likely to be another Mack, and they are incremental adjustments, which means they will not be team impacting for at least a couple of years. And the higher they finish, the less impacting they will be.Last edited by CanDB; 09-01-2018, 10:32 AM.
