  • Philip Rivers NFL record breaking performance today

before you donko clowns start crying about the cards record, realize that they have the 4th ranked passing defense with the second most sacks in the NFL.

that was as close to perfection passing the ball in one game as anyone has ever had in the NFL against a good passing defense.

the future HOF'er is having a fantastic season and starting next week you donk fans wont get to cry about the chargers not playing good teams, even though i feel the chargers are better than anyone left on their schedule not named the chiefs.

Good for him. Against a bad defense that would still be difficult - and I'll grant the Cards have a decent defensive line - but come on, their secondary is just bad.

All the same, to Rivers du LAC

Did you just try to justify that the Cards defense is a good unit when the Broncos put up 45 on them?

Without any bias, how many more games do you see the Chargers winning?

I can see the game against Denver going either way which should be a blood bath (figuratively speaking) since LA may be fighting for their season at that point.

I can’t see them winning against KC, just hard to fathom very many teams shutting down that offense.

Right now as it stands if the season were to end today, the Steelers would host LA in the wild card round. Oddly enough they play each other next weekend In Pittsburgh. That’s going to be a tough match up especially with Pittsburgh coming off today’s loss.

The following week they’ll be facing the Bungles who aren’t exactly a push over but should be coming off a loss from the week before as well.

I just don’t see it being as easy for LA as you make it seem. Not saying they can’t win out but Rivers is going to have to remain focused. Extremely focused.

What record did he break? Most passing yards without a Super Bowl appearance?

            today they were bad lol

they actually have decent corners and trey boston is decent as well. Peterson is still one of the best in the game, you can't deny that. the pass rush and secondary is the strength of their team. their offense and run defense sucks.

                  literally all you can say.

poor arapaho thinks his team is good but they still wont make the playoffs......nothing pleases me more than to see you butt hurt over the teams they have had on their schedule on the way to the playoffs.

i also like how none of you have taken issue with my "future HOF'er" statement, i see you all are starting to come to terms with reality?

Truthfully I think the Chargers are a decent team, but the reality is they haven't beaten anyone of note this year. They have one win against a winning team, and one win against a .500 team, and then the rest are the dregs of the league. So it really is tough to say whether they're better than the rest of their schedule or not.

Next week will be a big game for them, they can show everyone on a national stage in prime time, against a good team, that they're for real and their record shows that. If they don't win, then the questions will start popping up because of who they've beaten and who they've lost to.

Realistically I think they go 2-2 in the next 4, with losses to Pittsburgh (tough place to play) and KC (the Thursday aspect could be the great equalizer for the Chargers favour) and Baltimore being somewhat of a tossup because you never know what you'll get from them.

But there's a real possibility the game in Denver on December 30th could be for a playoff spot.

The Chargers have won against Bills, 49ers, Raiders, Browns, Titans, Raiders x 2, Seahawks and Cardinals. It hasn't exactly been a murderers row there. Meanwhile they've lost to two legitimate playoff teams they've played, and been beaten by a hated rival at home, which could end up costing the Chargers in the end.

You may want to settle down with your celebrations to this point, the Chargers haven't proven anything.

the chargers have lost to two of the best teams in they NFL early in the season and they gave one away against a bad broncos team. other than that they have taken care of business, they can't help who they play.

by the way, rivers became only the 4th quarterback in NFL history to throw at least two TD's in every game through the first 11 games of the season. only Johnny Unitas, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers have done that.

what "celebrations" are you referring to? i'm simply talking about rivers' record breaking game and the fact that i think it's funny how the only smack you all can run is about the teams they have beaten to get to 8-3

i would say the odds of the chargers missing the playoffs at this point is somewhere around 70%, even if they did go 3-2 down the stretch, which would put them at 11-5.

you said before the season started that the chargers were a bad team, don't make the mistake of having to eat your words again.

The beatings will continue until morale improves....

so the broncos scored 20 points against the chargers defense prior to driving down the field in a 76 yard drive with no time outs

and then kicked a game winning Fg

yet your pathetic snivel fest still cant admit we simply beat you...we got the ball on our own 8 yard line with 1:51 left and drove it right down the field to kick the game winning FG
and yet you disregard the INTs we took from rivers, a fake punt that led to a 41 yards Lindsey TD
the bolts had a 5 point lead going into the forth qurter...yet the broncos held them to 3 points and scored 9 themselves

yet you still cant admit ...we simply beat team team

and simply blame a single play

and yes they cant help who they play...but it still remains you haven't beat anybody good

and your record reflects the creampuff schedule
