With the free agent signings, he may be setting himself up to trade out of the first round in order to attain another first next year.

Two first in 2020 would be huge!

i don't know an lot about the ownership situation with the broncos but i would say in a typical situation he would have to be feeling pressure.

I don't think most teams are, which is why the chargers over-paid for a back up QB that has played decent at times as a starter, to buy themselves some time.

It's funny to watch the mock drafts. All these "experts" pairing teams with the QB's up top. I think the only one to watch is Murray and that's only because the way he plays. He's flashy, but I don't see him being the next Wilson, Mahomes, etc.....

von miller probably won't be around to survive the rebuild, neither will chris harris. you will be left with two potential stars on your team.....chubb and lindsay.

it's going to be a lot of fun seeing you donko fans suffer over the next 3-5 years at least. my Chrystal ball tells me there is going to be a record number of trophy polish smack going on around here, if there is any smack at all!

anyways, how long until the diminished donkos actually field a respectable team and post a winning season again? the most accurate answer would be no time soon!

              • the new question is.....how many more years will the broncos be in the basement in their own city?

This is a Broncos town. It always has been. But is the future guaranteed? In the current power rankings of the Denver’s big four professional sports franchises, our local NFL team ranks dead last.…

This is a Broncos town. It always has been. But is the future guaranteed? In the current power rankings of the Denver’s big four professional sports franchises, our local NFL team ranks dead last. Nobody puts baby in a corner. But the Broncos are locked in the basement, listening to the footsteps, as the Nuggets, Rockies and Avalanche get to work. How did that happen?
the answer to that question is an easy one........

John Elway the QB was great!

What he is doing right now as a GM has no bearing on his playing days or vice versa.

John Elway the QB was great, John Elway the GM is still up for debate. His time without Manning is critical to that legacy.

Very true..... however Elway has achieved more than all Charger GM’s together

I love it, just randomly throw that in there...

I don’t always agree with his decisions and aside from resigning Jeff Heuerman, I’m liking this off season so far.

If he wins another super bowl, his resume will look pretty accomplished and let’s be honest no body not even Belichick wins as many Super Bowls without a decent QB.

show me a chargers GM that had one of the greatest QB's QB's of all time making him look better than they are? one only has to look at elway's record without manning to come to the conclusion that manning was a massive reason for that success.

even shanarat didn't struggle after elway retired like elway has and shanrat got fired. what will be elway's fate? if he doesn't right the ship soon will be the same as shanarat's

i talk a lot of smack on elway but ive also said if the broncos return to even compete for SB's i will change my tune, let alone if they win another one during his watch.

Every GM in the league had a shot at Peyton in 2012, Elway landed him, case closed.....
That was Elways job, and he took care of business.
