I'm not sure why the Colts abandoned the run so early. Marlon Mack was averaging over 5 YPC. It seems to me a no brainer to run the ball and try to keep Mahomes on the sideline.

Yea that was some Vance Joseph level coaching there... They made a big statement about how they were going to come out and establish the run because that's a weak point in the Kansas City defense, they run well and just abandon it completely.

I felt like I was watching a Broncos game where Phillip Lindsay was just tearing it up and we were like "You know...let's just have Case throw 40 passes, what's the worst that could happen?"

They abandoned it for the same reason that teams changed their approach most of the season. They fell behind and knew that they had to keep up with Mahomes so they pass. They got spooked. I don't expect the Pats to get spooked so easily.
