I think yesterday's game was an example of why it can be so hard for immobile quarterbacks to win a SB (Rivers, Marino, Manning). NE got instant pressure, and SD's offense ended up being Rivers trying to make blind circus throws all day. While the game was competitive, anyway. Gordon is not a good between the tackles runner, like I talked about in depth in here earlier in the year. He's just not as good as his numbers make him out to be.

The biggest disappointment, to me at least, was LA's defense. What an embarrassing display. Go look at the box score on just about every game NE has lost in the playoffs, and you'll notice that with one or two exceptions the key was playing with an early lead. Rivers managed a touchdown on his first drive, but LA's defense might as well have been tackling dummies for 3 quarters. This game was over before it was played, because the Chargers defense was unprepared. Beating NE in NE is a tall order in the post season, but that was a bloodbath. With that defense, I don't see how they could've won in California.

Well....I have to say....it's not cowardly to not show up on a Broncos board when your team is playing the most important game of their season. I don't show up here when the Chiefs are playing. So what. I'm paying attention to my game. I can talk to Broncos fans later. It's no big deal when Baph doesn't show up while he and his team are being humiliated.

I thought the Colts and Chargers were just flat. People forget how tough it is playing on the road 2 weeks in a row in a playoff game against a team that are not only playing at home but at had 2 weeks rest.

It was just too tough to overcome, it is now 7 years since a team playing on wildcard weekend got to a SB.

I think the NFL need to look at the playoff system because far too often the divisional round is predictable and not competitive.
