i don't know if any one watched the top 100, but the way Melvin gordon and MElvin Ingram talk about chubb makes me think they have a good eye for talent and pass rushers, cause chubb is a beast and better then any of san diegos pass rushers. mark it. this season was only the floor for this kid.sigpicComment

Gotta remember he hangs out on the broncos mesasage boards and can’t believe we have anything positive to say about the Broncos when his team is being projected to contend (just like last year), and they are the greatest defense of all time per PFF ( even though we have the guy who ran the League best Defense last season, and was the mastermind behind the Pats SB win)sigpicComment

He acts like the Sparklers are on the same level of historical greatness or will be in the near future, as the 49'ers, Steelers, and I hate to say it, the Patsy's. He's a joke and the Dolts are a joke and everybody knows he's the laughing stock of this excellent forum.

Anyway don’t forget Darphs main source of info comes from PFF and right now they have 3 Denver CBs rated in the top 10!Last edited by Sam_Z; 07-25-2019, 11:25 AM.Comment

you better hope it was the floor for him because he didn't play that great last year. sure, the sack numbers were there but he was graded very low for a supposed "elite" pass rusher.
chubb might be better than any of san diegos pass rushers, because none reside in san diego. but if you mean to tell me hes better than bosa, then we will have to see about that because so far that hasn't been the case.
With the 2019 NFL season inching ever closer, PFF's Mark Chichester takes a look at the NFL's best edge-rushing duos.
5. VON MILLER & BRADLEY CHUBB, DENVER BRONCOS
No surprises here, Von Miller has been nothing short of spectacular ever since he first stepped foot in Mile High Stadium. Miller is the only player — at any position — in the PFF era (2006-18) who has recorded eight single-season overall grades above 90.0, and he’s done it in the eight consecutive seasons from 2011 to 2019. Among the 101 edge defenders who have played at least 1500 pass-rush snaps since 2006, Miller ranks first in pressure rate (17.1%), pass-rush win rate (19.0%) and pass-rush productivity (20.3).
From a box score standpoint, Bradley Chubb couldn’t have done much more for the Broncos in his first year in the league. The first-year edge rusher racked up 13 sacks, eight hits and 36 quarterback hurries across his 456 pass-rushing snaps in 2018, and his 57 total pressures ranks tied for fifth in the PFF era among first-year edge defenders. If this duo is to crack the top three next year, Chubb will need to return to his college form when it comes to run defense and tackling, as his 2018 run-defense grade of 68.6 ranked 48th among the 111 qualifying players at the position, while his tackling grade (he missed 11 tackles on 58 attempts) of 40.2 ranked 91st.1. JOEY BOSA & MELVIN INGRAM III, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
When Bosa is healthy and on the field, there is arguably no stronger force in the pass-rush. Among the 90 edge defenders who have logged at least 500 pass-rushing snaps since 2016, Bosa’s win rate (21.0%) ranks first and his pass-rush grade (90.7) ranks fifth. He’s produced three or more pressures in 31 of his 37 career games, and even more impressively, he’s yet to come away from a game empty-handed — he’s tallied at least one quarterback pressure in all 37 of his career games.
On the other end of the line is the ever-dependable Melvin Ingram. The former Gamecock has played at least 890 snaps in each of the last four years and has tallied 70-plus quarterback pressures in each of the last three. His three-year pass-rush win rate of 16.2% ranks 15th among the 90 edge defenders who have logged at least 500 pass-rushing snaps since 2016 and his three-year pass-rush grade of 88.6 ranks ninth — just four spots below Bosa.
PFF dives into the grades and advanced stats to rank all 32 pass-rush units ahead of the 2019 NFL season.
7. DENVER BRONCOS
I don’t think the people of America appreciate the consistency Von Miller has shown over the course of his career. The man has earned an elite 90.0-plus grade in all eight seasons of his career. He has averaged 71 pressures a season and that’s with an injury-shortened season in the mix. Only three edge defenders collected that many in 2018.4. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
The Ingram-Bosa combo didn’t figure to be falling out of the top-10 anytime soon, but now that they’ve added Jerry Tillery to the mix, it could take them to the next level. Tillery earned the highest pass-rushing grade on stunts among interior defenders in college football.

second of all, do you want to see what von says about rivers, not to the media, but in private?
this is a quote from eric weddle.
“I’ll give you guys a really inside story. It happened two nights ago. We were all hanging out at the bar. It was me, Philip, Bobby Wagner, Von Miller, Harrison Smith and a couple other guys. And Von comes up — and we’re just talking about games and experiences — and Von goes on this seven-minute dissertation of how much he loves, respects and admires Philip and thinks he’s one of the best quarterbacks in this league.
“And he goes off and says, ‘Look who he played with and [he still] beat us!’ He’s just like, ‘That guy right there is amazing.’
“Honestly to players, players know, like, players know you come here, and you could have a couple games … but they know how good you are. Really, at the bottom line, who you play with, what you’re playing with, the team, the scheme — they know. So it was a perfect example of one of the best players in this league — [one of] the greatest people — was literally talking to Phil and telling him how much he thinks he’s the best quarterback in the league. And he was really being honest about it. It was awesome just to see that.”
your team as a whole is one dimensional, a good defense with a crap offense and that's not changing this year either. hope all you want to but it aint happening!Comment

Everyone on this forum that reads any of the baphster's words knows he's full of fresh cow pies on a daily basis. His incredible ignorance is blatantly on display in all of his posts and he's nothing more than a verbal bully with a very shallow personally. Very sad.He acts like the Sparklers are on the same level of historical greatness or will be in the near future, as the 49'ers, Steelers, and I hate to say it, the Patsy's. He's a joke and the Dolts are a joke and everybody knows he's the laughing stock of this excellent forum.

who is this SD team you speak of?

that last part is for arapaho, who thinks ingram is average but thinks chubb is elite and has bragged about chubb's win rate when ingram's has been better over a 3 year span.
