Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

can't believe the chargers are still only 2 games back in the division and still have to play KC twice. every team in the division has underachieved except the raiders.....let that sink in for just a moment.

The reality is the division is still wide open, maybe not for the broncos unless there’s some help from the other teams, we dug a deep hole
But it’s no way near decided
And the chiefs look suspect
sigpic
when do native Americans become human and not mascots
Bad loss for KC. It happens. Pats had several bad losses last year before winning the SB.
Mahomes is unbelievably good, which gives them a chance to win every game...but KC’s run defense is below average. Will be interesting to see how the season pans out for them.

it certainly seems that way. which ever team gets hot at the end likely will win it. there isn't one complete team in the division right now. the chiefs offense isn't as good as it was and the defense is still bad. the broncos have a good defense but a bad offense still, raiders have a decent offense but a bad defense (they are improved this year for sure, though), chargers have a good defense but a mistake prone inconsistent offense.
i don't know if any team can get a WC either but we will see. my honest opinion by the way.
Never underestimate Andy Reid's ability to do something stupid that costs his team the game. Normally he waits until the playoffs though. 3rd and 2 running a screen pass (and losing 8 yards as a result) was just unbelievably stupid.
He will lose the locker room this year (if he hasn't already) because he consistently does things to help his team lose games. Of course the Chefs should have moved on from him after 2017, but the fear of hiring a coach that doesn't get regular season wins (Todd Haley) has them continually just hoping that Reid finally gets it this time.

I think he's got quite a bit of capital right now. Not saying you're right or wrong although I'd lean on 'wrong' side. He does somehow fail in the postseason and there's no denying that.

But should he have that capital? At some point the goal needs to be winning the Super Bowl. Especially since your QB will soon be taking up $35-40 million per season in cap room. It's great to win the division 3 years in a row, but shouldn't he own the 2-5 playoff record? 4 of those playoff losses coming at home to lower seeds. Shouldn't he own the fact that they've consistently had a poor defence? Especially since he had a power struggle with the GM to gain more control?
Andy Reid's team (Philly and KC) have won't he division 9 times during his previous 20 seasons as an HC, they've made the playoffs 5 other times. From the outside that looks great, 45% of the time he's winning divisions, and 70% of the time his team makes the playoffs. But his team is 12-14 in the playoffs (2-5 in KC) and in those 14 playoff appearances he's managed to coach his team to the Super Bowl 1 time.
John Fox is not thought of as a great coach, but he's had his team play in twice as many SB as Andy Reid. John Fox is 8-7 in the playoffs.
At what point do people start to realize that Andy Reid (like John Fox) has a ceiling that his team can get to? And that ceiling is making the playoffs. KC is going to give away a lot of good years by being beholden to a bad playoff coach.
