• Yo Chefs we are going to rock you.

You Chefs are going to get decimated like what we did to the Chargers. Looks like the Bungals kicked your butt. Chefs defense is like swiss cheese.

You know the Bungles returned a punt 76 yard yesterday for a touchdown! Dante Who?

Aren't we starting the smack talk just a little bit early? There are still two games the Broncos have to win before then or the Chiefs game might not matter for anything but pride.

Not really. We are going to clobber the Chefs. The Bears are going down this week. I would not want to play the Broncos now. Poed Team on a mission.

I agree... Definately too early to even consider talking smack. With resepect to the few KC fans that post intelligently here ( Reasonable, H/P, Mer ), I'll refrain from the smack talk ( at least on this forum ). We haven't wrapped up a playoff spot yet... until that happens, have a little respect.

Sounds like some people are afraid of the Chefs.

Perhaps its more, gulp!
a little respect.

Besides lets get on a serious roll by winning the next couple, then the week leading up this place will be smackville.

Oh, you're right. CHIEFS SUCK! WE'RE GONNA WHOOP YOUR HIDES REAL GOOD! BOY HOWDY!

Is that better?

Seriously, why deride your fellow Broncos fans because we appreciate that the Chiefs are still a good team, despite losing to the Bengals yesterday? And why goad us because we also understand that there are two games to go before we even play the Chiefs?

I personally don't like to talk smack; I prefer reasonable arguments about whose team is going to win. There's a whole other forum explicitly for Talkin' Smack.

KC's weak secondary was exposed yesterday. It will continue to be exposed as teams get braver against them. When we play them, Lelie will do what he's supposed to and force them to stretch, and then Sharpe will get behind the LB's and rip them up like he did last year.

The fundamental thing with stopping the Chiefs though, is stopping Holmes - which is no small task, given the talent of their O-line. But hey...if anyone told me Tomlinson was going to have only 14 yards rushing until about 3 minutes left in the game, I'd have told them to avoid drug tests.

Cincy won because they stopped Holmes and put the game in Trent Green's hands. Ultimately, Green and his band of Mary Receivers didn't have what it took to plug the hole in the dam.

Funny...all those "Trent Green v. Elway" discussions have subsided somewhat...

...huh. How about that.
Okay, I didn't say KC was a great team. But losing one game doesn't make them suddenly a bad team.

Also, my main point was that it seems awfully early to start talking about the Chiefs matchup. Who knows what injuries will befall either team in the meantime? Or what upsets might occur along the way that could psychologically affect either team going into that game.

Finally, did someone really claim that Green was on the level of Elway? That's plain idiocy.

The idiocy? I hear there's a lot of that going around these days. You just have to take those comments with a grain or two of salt. As I recall, just a few short weeks ago, there was a thread in here regarding "Jake the $40 Million Mistake" and more recently, comments that Plummer was on par or close to Elway. I maintain the truth lies somewhere in between, but there's no doubt his stock certainly has skyrocketed.
.
As for the smack talk ... we as fans are not bound by the same rules as the team, and the Chiefs-Broncos smack has been been hitting the board for weeks already. I do maintain that good smack talk implies that the opponent is worthy to a certain degree (respect, perhaps?) Otherwise, there's no accomplishment if you win.

But by all means, bring on the smack early and often.

Of course, I've got my hands full this week -- It's Raider Week (One of two weeks a year I really miss Marty because he always got the boys up to play the Raiders). I'd best go brush up on my new Miss Manners book.

i also dont like talking smack... but sometimes i would enjoy it. Im not too worried about the next 2 weeks. If we can continue playing the way we did yesterday. I also think that we can win the Chiefs game if we can stop Priest. it shouldnt be that hard to stop him on the ground... the thing that i always worry about is when he gets a screen pass. But... i was at the game yesterday in Cincinnati because i live in Ohio, It was soo awesome to be there. Being that the Bengals are my 2nd favorite team behind Denver. But yeah we will see how the games unfold... hope to continue to play well and make the playoffs. Im so glad to have Jake back though. Talk to everyone later.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BC:
The timing is a bit curious, but I still don't smell a conspiracy. What I do not know (and perhaps you do) is the timing of the tests. If the tests were a few months ago and there's some sort of timetable for appeals before the suspension is announced, then I'd say it's just coincidence.

I would say, however, that if one was trying to help the Chiefs, the suspension of Anderson would have been withheld until right before the Chiefs game to maximize its effectiveness (as is the case with the Raider Four).

If you don't mind my asking, what is your area of expertise in science?
