Were they mad they had to bring their own towel? Or maybe Herbert wouldn't wipe down his machine? Maybe the towels said Rams on them?

I'm just playing man. Obviously it was the training staff's fault that no one could stop... Errrr, ummm... **looks up name again**... yeah Trevor Lawrence.

Ok.. starting NOW the SD Rams look like super bowl contenders.

But seriously, I'm just playing. It makes me feel bad when I'm slinging mud and you reply earnestly.

Meanwhile... the KC airport has just been renovated and over by the new Applebee's they have installed a nine foot bronze statue of Mahomes' right bicep!

PS... I know you are full of it anyway. You have been critical of the chiefs for not being a good team but then you talk about what a great team they are when minimizing mahomes. I point this out and then we go into rerun mode again again.

Can I hear your bad calls bit again?
I never said that the Chiefs were a bad team. In fact, I have said just the opposite in that I have said that the Chiefs were already a playoff team before Mahomes and were one of the 8 best teams this past season, all of which had a realistic chance of winning it all. I think the Eagles had a better roster than the Chiefs, but did not play well against the Chiefs beginning on the first drive with their cleats debacle and continuing through the unforced fumble TD and into the second half with two freebie TD blown coverage busts that I would not have expected a decent high school team to have made. But I always believed that the Chiefs were one of the teams that was capable of winning it all in this era of no dominant teams. Any team that gets home field advantage has to be considered to be a contender. (And yes, they benefitted hugely from bad calls in the playoffs.)

I have also just told you that I view Mahomes as the third most talented QB in the NFL. I said I would take Herbert and Allen in that order over Mahomes. I did not say that I would take anyone else over Mahomes. Both Herbert and Allen are more physically gifted than Mahomes and I have seen that live and in person at Arrowhead (2021 game against the Chargers). But I could not overstate how much Herbert has been held back by coaching and mind numbingly stupid roster decisions while Reid has been arguably the best offensive mind in the NFL in recent years to go along with great OLs, a top RB, a top TE and a top and the game's most dangerous and defense altering WR. As I have stated, I 1000% believe that if you switched Herbert or Allen with Mahomes, the Chiefs would be even better and likely would have won the Super Bowl against the Rams after beating the Bengals (instead of being the player most responsible for the loss to the Bengals, which Mahomes absolutely was).

The national writers almost entirely do not agree with you. Not that I care much at all for those click baiting sheep, but I'd trust them over an SD Rams homer.

Anyhow, back to where I think this all started... It's a QB league and the best QBs will almost always have their team in the playoffs, and the few elites will almost always go deep. Just the way it is.

Of course, teams with byes and teams playing at home have an advantage, but the teams I mentioned were (with the exception of the Bills) right there in their playoff games. The games could have gone either way.

So, of course, the Cowboys, Eagles and Chargers could have won it all last year. The Cowboys beat the Eagles in the regular season. The Jags were within 3 points of the Chiefs in the 4th quarter in the playoffs. The Chargers always play the Chiefs tough and own the Bengals in recent seasons. I am positive that Chiefs fans would not have looked forward to their season being on the line against the Chargers because every game between the two is close.

The filler teams were Miami, Minnesota, Baltimore (without Jackson), Tampa Bay, Seattle and the Giants. They were a step below the other 8 teams, who were all pretty similar in terms of team strength with none of those teams being dominant and all of them being vulnerable in various ways.
The teams are even because they all suck. That's what intercepting 4 times and still losing is. It's sucking.
Baltimore is a filler team even with Jackson. It's obvious he's just a second rate Michael Vick.

Not to mention if the sport were real he'd be pounded into the ground already. He's built like a point guard from 1978.

          • the chargers restructured Allen and Williams' contracts today to clear cap space....

Keenan and Mike’s 2024 cap hits add up to about $67.1 million on their own. Based on my numbers, those 2 cap hits ALONE would give the Chargers the highest % of the cap allocated to the WR room since 2013, and this isn’t including any other contracts they have

I feel your pain, Man. Maybe he'll return to Colorado.

for the chargers to trade him to the broncos.........you would have to insanely over-pay. he would be a great fit, though.

Western Colorado alumni are proud of Austin. Chargers should try to keep him.

they definitely did try. but they are not in a cap position to give him the money he wants. he's trying to get his payday and I don't blame him. I actually feel bad for running backs, it's just not a valued position anymore.

Id be stoked if the chargers got a 2nd for him but they probably wont even get that. for a guy with 38 TD's the last two seasons, that's crazy.

Gotta think they will be better this coming season based on the moves they have made so far. but it really depends on how Wilson responds.

BTW welcome back! this place has been very boring lately.

yeah, that's what happens when your team just falls off a cliff for this many years sadly.
