I think the Chargers win it on a late game winning FG from Dicker the kicker.

The Chargers are more talented. Herbert is better than Lawrence at this point in their respective careers. The Jaguars have better coaching. I do expect the Chargers to show up with good focus and intensity. It will definitely hurt them if Williams is not able to play effectively due to injury.

the jags are tougher than people think. if they somehow get past us they could go on a serious run. Lawrence has been playing really well the last half of the season and their defense makes plays.

but I'm sticking by my pre-season prediction to the bitter end!

Ok chargettes I'm going to offer up a legit prediction despite the fact you goofs refuse to give the broncos any credit for beating you in a "meaningless game" as y'all like to say despite your clown 🤡 coach trying his damnedest to win... anyway....

I think this has potential to be the best game of the weekend and I do think experience matters here a lot and I'm talking about coaching experience.

So the clear advantage goes to pederson and the jags on that front and in fact I think it's going to be Staley's arrogance that ultimately costs the chargers the game.

I know that most coaches are doing their "damndest to win" when they pull their starting QB who is arguably the best at 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL when the game is still well within reach. But hey, if you want to keep ignoring reality, go right ahead.

I agree that the Chargers game against Jacksonville is likely to be a close game, but believe just the opposite about Staley. Without Williams, we need the 2021 Staley that will aggressively go for it on 4th downs. The play calling on both offense and defense must be very aggressive. Any game plan that does not have Herbert throwing the ball at least 50 times against Jacksonville's 28th ranked pass defense with a significant number of vertical strikes in the medium and deep ranges gets a complete F as far as I am concerned. Lombardi needs to stop being the only OC in the whole league that struggles to have success against cellar dweller type pass defenses like Jacksonville, Las Vegas and Tennessee.

And if we are going to run, I want two read options plays where Herbert pulls the ball from Ekeler and runs with it. Since he has not been running, I suspect he can catch the Jaguars off guard like he did in the 2020 game against them that the Chargers won and help bolster the running game with two bigger runs. Herbert is the same size as Josh Allen and is faster than Allen. It is the playoffs and it is time to do what is necessary to win.

And above all else, if this game, as I also expect it to be, is a close game, the ball, the game, and the season must be put in Herbert's hands in the clutch. He is the best player on the field anytime he steps on the field and Lombardi needs to stop being the other team's best defender against Herbert with his play calling.
