KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs planned to have safety Eric Berry back with them for practice Monday as they returned from their bye.
Berry hasn't practiced or played since suffering a high-ankle sprain in a Sept. 14 game against Denver.
But a return to practice for Berry doesn't necessarily mean he will play on Sunday against the Chargers in San Diego.
"He's going to work today, and we'll just see how he does from there," coach Andy Reid said.
The Chiefs have been starting veteran journeyman Ron Parker in Berry's place.
Nickel back Chris Owens (knee) and wide receiver Donnie Avery (sports hernia) are the only players who won't be available for practice on Monday.
