Pretty bad eh? If I wasn't an FSU or CU fan, I wouldn't of even watched this game.. both offenses were bad... CU a little bit more worse..

The atmosphere was really good though, good college atmosphere.. I had a good time, but not a good time watching our offense, it's a brutal watch and I dont see things getting better unless they play Williams, Celestine, and Josh Smith more... drove me nuts!
fight u dwn the fied..cu must win.. fight fight fr Victoy..cu knows no defet! so roll up the mighty score, Never Give in!!...shouler to shulder we will FIGHT..FIGHT ... FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!

Man, that game was hard to watch. Those announcers and those offenses...

Hey, Colorado fans, I have a question.

Has your team showed ANY improvement at all since Hawkins took over?

or did Gary Barnett just recruit some really, really bad players that this poor guy is stuck with now?

A LOT of improvement actually... We've been getting a lot of really nice recruits.. towards the end of GBs era, our recruits were slipping to 2 star, 3 star athletes... now with Hawk, we're targeting 4-star, 5-star WRs now which is great, cuz it all starts with athletes...

Not only improvement with our recruits, but ever since we've gotten a new athletic director, the whole program has shown great advancement. CU is finally getting their practice bubble, season ticket holders increased, and again recruiting is becoming HUGE..

Coaching wise, I have not seen any improvement. At times, it seems like they've been making the wrong calls at the wrong times.. however, I am going to reserve judgement until Hawk gets his recruits in... this is only hawks first year with his freshman players.. Im going to wait 2-3 years until Hawk gets his players before calling for his head..

lol. ya our recruiting is way better. in two years hawkins has recruited one 5 star player and one four star player amazing. i'm really getting tired of hawkins talking a big game and showing absolutely nothing. promising national championships, saying that the offense this year is night and day compared to last year (i'd say it might even be worse than last year. our playcalling was basically all runs, but at least we called runs inside the tackles instead of 90% delays outside the tackle that kept getting stopped for 10 yard losses).

Well I was just wondering because a guy I used to know from my city is going to Colorado now and I try to keep up with just how much improvement they're actually making.

The only game I've been able to see of theres as of late was the Arizona State one and this previous one against Florida State.

I really thought they had a chance to win last night and that could of been the game that could have really, really helped them out.

Atleast those are the games you need to win to get back on any kind of national stage.

But after losing again, how many games do they actually have a chance to win now other than Miami of Ohio?

Yea, one of those wins, I dont want to call it a signature win, but a big win..

They have others..heres how I predict things will work out..

              Miami (OH) - W
              Oklahoma - L
              Baylor - W
              K-State - L (chance)
              Kansas - W
              Texas Tech - L (chance)
              Missouri - L (chance)
              Iowa State - W
              Nebraska - L (chance).

5-6? Its reasonable, and they could also 7-3..who knows, I just dont trust our offense right now..

If you think we had a chance of winning a National Championship this year you seriously need to study up on your football. He's saying he is going to get us back to the level of a few years ago, and that takes time, he has to get the players that fit his system perfectly. So if you think he's capable of showing his full offense right now youre kidding yourself

Our offense shouldnt be trusted right now, and i agree on the 5-6 part........however the part I whole heartedly disagree on is the Nebraska game...we don't have a chance at all. lol. With how our offense looks so far...

hahah, I love your honesty Str8... But yea, and why were the parents complaining about an extra week over the summer? They need all the reps they can get.. the offense is just way out of sync..they can't stay on the same page, nor can they run the ball... I put that on young o-line and not enough practice..

I can't help but give my 2 cents on this subject heh......I've gone to Buff games since i was 4 and averaged 8 a year

Its just going to take time to get it all worked out, Hawkins is going to get it done, although some of the playcalling last night really had me scratching my head

oh so now you are not only putting words in my mouth, you are putting words in hawkins' mouth too? i wasn't saying i expected a national championship, i said i don't like to hear him talking about national championships when all i've seen a steep decline in our football team since barnett left. i'd like to hear him say why we keep making such stupid playcalls instead of just constantly saying we're going to get national championships and acting like the stupid playcalls just never happened. and what are his plans to fix the team, because recruiting is bad and our on the field performance is bad.
if he meant that he was trying to get our program back to 7-5 (our record a few years ago) then why did he say he was going to get us national championships (again, that's not my expectation, that's just what he says over and over), those are two different things. and why did we fire barnett, who had our program back to where it was a few years ago, because that's where he was when he got fired

Not too long ago we were in the talks of being in a National Championship only to be blown out by Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl, were we not?

I firmly believe we will be a top tier team as soon as he gets HIS talent in and has some experience under their belt.

Here's your signature win!!!!! Hawkins is definitely taking the program in the right direction.

We have just as good a chance as anyone of taking the Big XII North. Not bad for a team of mostly underclassmen.

Are you talking about Anthony Wright? He had a good spring but is redshirting this year. They've moved him to safety and expect big things out of him and Anthony Perkins for years to come.
