Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

i understand what u is sayin but ohio state always do good against teams thats not playin in the sec...........hell they lost to south carolina 2 years in a row a few years ago.....i believe LSU will take ohio state seriously but at the same i believe they will look at the illinois game and see that ohio state has alot of weakness when sumone spreads them out and try to do the same against them.

Alright good, so its just not me...we are watching the same thing... besides the VT blowout.. its been some close games..
I dont know if you can ever predict how a team controls the line the whole game.. that was the difference in last years Florida matchup... Florida owned tOSU's line and they couldn't do anything... this year should be interesting ... Im looking forward to it..
That's the deal! I've watched every game this year. The first half of the season LSU was getting pressure on the QB and dominating the LOS but when that cheapshot from the Auburn player on Dorsey happened the D-line lost that fire. I will not say anything bad about OSU, hell I picked them to beat Florida last year in that betting poll! But I don't like that the Big Ten doesn't have a conference championship game!

Well the conference decides against it, more money in the pocket for the ones that do, but at the same time it is just another factor as to how the BCS is a very bad system.

how did georgia get screw when they got there asses kicked by tennessee 35-14 in the middle of the season and lost to south carolina....be real georgia is a good team but they cant beat lsu and thats a fact
Just be happy LSU didn't have to play Georgia in the SEC title game. That's a home game for the Dawgs. The S. Carolina and Tennessee losses were early in the season for Georgia and they have been the hottest team in the nation since then, destroying Florida, Auburn, Kentucky (who beat LSU), and Alabama. There is no rule that says a team has to win their conference to play for the National Championship.
Georgia was ranked higher than LSU last week by the voters and it was known then that they didn't have a shot to play for the SEC title. Why all of a sudden do the voters change their mind? Because LSU put such a beat down on Tennessee? I think not.
LSU has lost twice since Georgia last lost, and both times when they were #1, so tell me, why do they deserve another chance to be number one when they've already had that chance twice this year?
Don't tell me that Georgia "can't" beat LSU, when they didn't play each other this year, beat a team that LSU lost to, and has a decided home field advantage in the SEC title game. Don't forget Georgia wasn't supposed to beat LSU in the SEC title game in 2005 and put a 34-14 beating on the then #3 team.

Why sling mud WJ! I know the Georgia in Nov may have been better than a banged up LSU team. I have said nothing but good things about your Dawgs. The past is the past and I know that the LSU Tigers at the beginning of the year would of beat Georgia. Fact is TENN beat you guys and the Dawgs didn't take care of business and make it to the championship game! Blame your team for a change! And your right there is no rule for winning the conference but LSU didn't get the beat downs like Georgia did in the regular season either. I was trying to be nice about this but why keep trying to smear LSU when Georgia didn't take care of business!

LSU doesn't deserve to be there, plain and simple. They already lost twice when they were #1, so clearly they aren't the #1 team, and shouldn't get another shot. Both teams had the same amount of losses, only Georgia's were early in the season when they were still getting things together. I know we lost to Tennessee. I still believe Georgia is a much stronger team than Tennessee, they just played poorly in that game.
Since then, they have been a much more dominant team than LSU. I'm not slinging mud, I'm just really disappointed that the BCS screwed things up AGAIN.
There is no reason the #4 team should fall in the standings when two teams above them lost. That's just unbelievable. LSU was #7, and they didn't do anything in my opinion to justify leapfrogging three idle teams. They struggled with Tennessee (who got lucky to be in that game because Kentucky couldn't kick a 30 yard FG). Georgia would have been a much tougher opponent for LSU. LSU can thank ESPN for swaying the voters of the polls and not giving a second thought to Georgia.
OSU has the best conventional defense in the nation. They were pretty good last year, but they struggle against the spread. Tressel took a crap last year preparing for it. I don't see him doing that this year. OSU is going to blitz every time they see four and five wide. LSU is a meat and potatoes type of team, and shouldn't try to spread OSU just to exploit a weakness. If LSU spreads it out, they'll probably do what they do best, and run the ball. I don't care how good they think their running backs are, they havn't seen a back seven like OSU's. There's no way this is a blow out. If Boekman makes good decisions, OSU wins.
I would say so...I live in kansas but i never expected that big of a fall....they got f I am screwed.....but I am a die hard auburn fan and they will take it to the house..easy win for them
Looking at the history of LSU/OSU and the BCS champions since 2001, I'm not too convinced this LSU team will come out the winner. This BCSCG will be the 3 meeting between the two teams and LSU was the last SEC team that lost to OSU. In 1987, a (10-1-1) LSU team tied a (6-4-1) OSU team 13-13 in Baton Rouge. And in 1988, a (8-4) LSU team lost to a (4-6-1) OSU team 33-36 in Columbus.
With LSU coming in at #2 in the BCS standings (which is a curse in itself) and OSU coming in at #1, the underdog (since 2001) has won 4 of the last 6 games, which LSU is the huge favorite leaving OSU the underdog even though #1.
I thought I would enlighten you Buckeye fans with a glimmer of hope.

Don't need a glimmer of hope. Didn't get one in '02 Fiesta Bowl. How many points was OSU supposed to lose THAT game by? And, judging from LSU's last game, all OSU has to do is start Wells at QB. "Oh my god is McFadden going to thow the ball?"......no....he's not.

You have never heard me say LSU would blow out OSU. I don't believe LSU has it in them and I don't think Les Miles is that good of a coach especially since he's riding the fence with this soap opera with Michigan. I'm still not fully convinced he'll be at LSU next year especially if he loses this game.
OSU doesn't have it it them for the trick plays. I see their strength as controlling the tempo of the game and playing smashmouth football on both sides of the ball. And you're right about blitzing because LSU's offense line is suspect. Remember one key to this game will be special teams because LSU's ST isn't all that great, so I expect OSU to be starting on average at the 40 yd line. LSU's run defense has been a little suspect also with the injury to Dorsey that's why McFadden, Jones, and Hillis had their way with the d-line. LSU's linebackers don't cover well so I see OSU utilizing the tightend and slot receiver in the middle or short routes. But LSU's strength's outweigh their weaknesses when 100% healthy!

GA isn't the only team that didn't play and drop in the rankings. UF went from 10 to 12, and is playing an unranked team. That said, I agree tha GA has been hot since they started Moreno, but clearly the BCS favors certain programs. Last year it was USC, this year it's LSU. Just more of the crap generated by the BCS.

Right on. Tressel is one of the most conservative coaches in college football. He get's away with it, because OSU always has a great defense. If he manages to get a few quick scores on LSU, watch him shut it down in the first half.
