  • Is Tyler Polumbus gonna make it in the nfl?

Tyler Polumbus is a big tall guy, but has no weight. Is he going to make it in the NFL? if so, what round do you think he'll go? 5th? 6th?

How do you guys feel bout Terrance Wheatley? small and explosive, rest in peace d-will, but he kinda reminds me of d-will in his attitude and how he plays the game. Thoughts?
    Let's draft her....

T-Wheat, I love the guy.......but he is no comparison to D-Will as far as play on the field

He is often injured, and I think he's a better cover corner, it was one of the greatest WR-CB duels I've ever seen with him against Crabtree, I think 4th-5th round for him sounds about right. And his attitude is way better than D-Will. Although Williams was waaaaaaaay better on ST

Polumbus could make an NFL Roster I think, our Offensive line this year was pretty solid considering we had two freshman starting, he picked up the slack and was a key leader, he wasnt injured a whole lot and likes to get his nose in there.

Yeah, i just said he "reminds me" of dwill.....not that they are comparable. Twheat plays w/ a LOT of savvy, just like d-will did. May give up a big play here or there, but they both play w/ a LOT of savvy (not to be mistaken w/ cockyness)

wheat v crabtree was a GREAT battle

Polumbus is so HUGE, yet he's so light.....he's like 6'8", but only 290ish. Would he look good in the broncos zone blocking scheme? or would he be better off putting on weight and goin to more of a rams man to man blocking scheme?

and it appears like you watch a lot of CU. How bout josh smith, is that guy an athlete or what?

I went to 10 games this year

Average around 10 a year, and I'm headed to Shrevport to see the game against Bama.

Well, I agree with you on the savvy of Wheatley, he should be a great player, although won't be some huge ST player some are making him out to be, he really hasnt done much in that department.

Well, I'm not a HUGE draftnik...but I would say Polumbus could play in our Zone blocking scheme, he can move, he's got nice size, and for his weight....he really isnt moved around all that much. Hes a tough dude. Worth a look.

Oh man I am on that Josh Smith bandwagon. He was my pick at being one of the biggest impact players on this team this year. Sadly I cant find the thread, some were deleted it seems.

Just the thought of having this O-Line, Possibly Scott running the ball, and our WRs on the field such as Smith, McKnight, and Celestine.....alongside Geer and Devree at TE..........man.....this team will be good.

Just imagine the Play Action game

Just watch, this time next year someone is going to throw the bandwagon word at me....... I've been a fan since i was 6. Been to every home game since then. I sat through a 2-10 season.

The worst day as a Buff fan is still better than the best day as a Husker fan.

Yeah, i went to pretty much every game when i went to CU, but only catch about half their games on TV these days.

Good point bout polumbus......as a homer, i'd definitely like to see the broncs give him a chance.

Yeah, i'm pretty excited bout how the team is turning out. The one component i'm not really sold on is Hawkins. his throwing mechanics are REDICULOUS.....and puny, and he has happy feet. You'd think it's a good thing but his feet look like payton manning's.........always shuffling and bouncing around while he's standing in place...........except for hawkins is NOT NOT NOT payton manning...haha.

Think the coach would ever bench his son?

But yeah, the team is starting to look like it might be better than 2-10 soon....haha. You know who i have high hopes for? Michael Sipili.....i think he's going to be a BEAST at ILB.....he's got decent speed, but has an excellent frame for an ILB. I'm gonna say, look for him to blow people up.

Sipili, I was looking forward to watching until I heard about the whole busting a kids head open thing. Theres talk of him possibly getting kicked off the team, so we will see.

In a way i agree with you on Hawkins, he may not be the tallest or strongest, but he knows the play-book in and out, which will pay off for us.

Matt Ballenger, our back-up. Off the top of my head he is 6 foot 6 and has a cannon from what I saw in the Spring game. He could contend in a couple years, I dont think the Hawk is one to play favorites, he seems like the type of person that wants the best chance to win, regardless of if its his son or not.

Hawkins gives us the best chance to win this next year. Ballenger gives us a FANTASTIC chance the year after next. Give it time, Cody is a young dude, he stood tall in that pocket and made great plays as a Freshman, he is gonna be good
