Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Haven't you noticed a trend that over the last dozen or so BCS championship games, the #1 team has lost, and the #2 team has won?
I mean, why are they seriously the #1 team if they're going to keep losing? The whole college football ranking system is seriously flawed.
The Valiant History of the AFC West (Except for the Chargers):
Denver Broncos: 2x World Champions. 6x AFC Champions. Overall Record: (.532)
Oakland Raiders: 3x World Champions. 5x AFC Champions. Overall Record: (.590)
Kansas City Chiefs: 1x World Champions. 2x AFC Champions. Overall Record: (.528)
San Diego Chargers: NEVER BEEN WORLD CHAMPIONS. 1x AFC Champions. Overall Record: (.493)

Too much hype. The betting guru's always say, when there is a LOT of hype for one team to win.. always bet against them.
But this game.. this game was a toss up in my opinion. I never for a second thought that OSU would win this game. I knew LSU was the better team all year long.... so this isn't shocking.
the reason why the #1 team always loses is because the best teams almost never seem to get to the national championship game... the media favorites always have a huge step up over everyone else.
if a relatively unknown team had the #1 strength of schedule and went undefeated, OSU, Notre dame, and USC also went undefeated, you can bet your life that the undefeated team with the hardest strength of schedule would be ranked 4th in the country and not be in the championship game.
neither OSU or LSU should have been within 100 miles of a national championship game, but alas. it happened and it was the most craptacular national championship game ever (i watched about 10 minutes of it off and on)

The system is so flawed, LSU was #7 going into the last week and jumped over about 3 teams to get into that game. Tell me how #4 (see sig) falls a spot when 2 teams in front of them lose? I'm glad LSU won, but I still think Georgia got the shaft. If the voters knew they weren't going to finish higher than LSU, why were they ranked higher than them in the first place?

how did georgia get shafted when they got their asses kicked by tennessee...i am not sayin they wasnt a good team but lsu would of beaten them in the sec championship game if they had played...
Well I can tell you why the #1 Suck/Luck-eyes got beat. Just look back to the 2003 Fiesta Bowl. If they hadnt cheated their way to a win there they wouldnt have all this coming back in their faces. What goes around comes around. If they had just taken their loss to Miami like men, none of this wouldve happened.
Poor poor Cheaty McSweatervest. It is true that cheaters never win (this will be shown when Jacksonville beats NE this weekend).

how did the buckeyes cheat......its funny how people still thinks ohio state cheated when it was the referee who made that bad call......it happends it was the hurricanes responsibility to stop them........makes no sense at all
Probably wouldve been better with USC but they didnt deserve it anymore than LSU did. USC lost to Stanford. At home. LSU lost to Arkansas at home. LSU lost in 3OT. USC lost on a last second TD pass. Both of theyre losses to Kentucky and Oregon were very similar. Also both teams were #1 when they lost to both respective unranked teams. But LSU lost to an Arkansas team that went 8-5 and went to a bowl game. USC lost to a 4-8 Stanford team. So the nod shouldve gone to LSU.

I disagree. Tennessee was early season for Georgia. LSU has 2 losses as well, and Georgia has been the hottest team in the country and has the longest winning streak. I fully believe LSU would have had trouble if they played Georgia, but none of that matters now. Georgia will just have to prove it next year when we play LSU once during the regular season, and hopefully once for the SEC title.
