Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Cowboy Football 2008....Oklahoma State Cowboys, that is!
Yeah it was about time you beat us. It only took you like what, 9 years???
Even Mack Brown can get it right once in less than 9 years.
Hey, a win over the mighty sooners is always something to brag about.
Actually over the last 10 years CU and OU are tied at 3 wins apiece during the regular season. It helps to know *** your talking about before you pop off. Nice try though.
Here's some trivia. OU normally blows in Boulder. They won once during the 2003 season in Boulder. Since that win, when was the last time the gooners one a game in Boulder?
Oh yeah, nice job with Jarobe. This idiot brings a stolen gun to school with him. So you'd think they'd withdraw their scholarship offer to him? Nope. Okay, maybe a suspension of some type? maybe the year? Nope. He's welcomed with open arms at OU. It's good to see the Switzer days are making a comeback in Norman.

The last game the Sooners won in Boulder was indeed in 2003...but OU and CU meet in Boulder every 4 years. They'll meet there again in 2011. So you can't play a grand total of 2 games in Boulder since 2003 and claim "HAH you haven't beaten us there since 2003!!" By that same logic, the Cowboys haven't lost in Boulder since 2004.
I'm not defending OU by any means...I'm just calling out what I see as bad logic.
The last time the Buffs beat the Sooners at all before '07 was in '99, in Boulder, by a score of 38-24.

It sounds like your a closet sooner fan
You'd be right but the last time they won in boulder was 1988. That's along time ago. Big 8 era.
I know its a reach. Its the offseason. What else do we have to argue about?

Very true, there's little to argue about in the offseason. I am definitely not a closet Goon.
And you are correct, even before 2002, the last time OU won a game against CU, period (in Norman and in Boulder) was indeed 1988, by a score of 17-14. But then again, that was the start of the decade that OU was utter crap, and CU was pretty danged good.
I honestly believe that if OSU's defense starts to show up for games, OSU will suprise some folks alot like KU did last year. But OSU doesn't have the cakewalk schedule that KU had last year. OSU's offense should be pretty good again. It all rides on the defense.

Very much agreed. If our defense doesn't show up like it's supposed to, it'll be another 6-6 year, and that's being optimistic.
If spring practice was any indication, though, our defense is going to be night and day better than last year. I can honestly see us pulling out an 8-4 or 9-3 kind of year. Best case scenario, we only lose to Texas, Texas Tech, and either Missouri or Colorado. I'd love to beat at least one of those teams, if not all of them. I certainly wouldn't mind pulling a Kansas this year...but if we have to lose 1 game, I'd prefer it be to someone other than OU, Texas, Tech, or A&M. I'll take a close loss to Mizzou or CU for that kind of year
like I said before, you have a chance against the buffs but there is no way in hell you are going to beat Missouri. I think they beat you by at least 21 points.
Goal Line Blitz - It's not a game, It's an addiction.... Proud owner of the Mile High Gladiators and GM of the Mile High Mustangs
the Barry Switzer video is pretty funny. They spent $100 million on a stadium and have dirt roads around the campus. That place is hilarious. I was half expecting to see covered wagons on campus (just like OU). Going to Stillwater is like taking a time machine back to 1908.

When was the last time you were in Stillwater? I live here, I can tell you all about it. There are no dirt roads anywhere within 5 miles of Stillwater. Some of the roads on campus are starting to fall apart, but they're fixing them.
Stillwater is actually now the 5th largest city in Oklahoma, right behind Norman. It's expanding appropriately. We're supposed to be talking about football, not how crappy someone thinks Stillwater is. That stuff's reserved for the Talkin' Smack section, I would think.

Yeah I was talking in the last 8-9 years. In 2002, we beat you twice, In 2003 beat you in boulder (finally) and then destroyed you in the 2004 title game. Also, we beat you in 2006, leaving the record 5 OU wins to 1 buffalo last second victory for the last eight years. I DO HAVE MY **** STRAIGHT, SON.

I dont think ANY buffs fan should talk about questionable recruiting, especially with the Barnett scandals and giving that running back's mom a job at a bank this year.
I find it comical that you would even mention anything in this area.
