and I haven't been to stillwater in at least 6 years, but my sister and brother in law lived north of campus and I remember walking on a dirt road back to her place, which was less than half a mile away. I'm glad you guys finally discovered pavement.

so did the players that signed your helmet get a college credit, or was it part of their student "job" and got their weekly paycheck for it?

Anyways man, this is what I love about this thread. The heated topics during the dead area for football. Wow, this started as an Okie-State thread and look where it went.

I am so so stoked for the season to start. Even ordered my custom helmet case today for my helmet I got with half the team's autographs.

We didn't have our defensive lineman shooting uzi's out of the dorm rooms and our starting QB selling coke on campus. All of the players involved with the scandals were expelled and GB was eventually fired. OU didn't even suspend any of their kids for a game. And show me the proof on Darrell's mother getting a job at any bank in Colorado. I promise if you back up your post i'll apologize and back down. But i know it's BS so you won't. Switzer ran a renegade program, and got out of dodge before the sanctions came down on you. Yet you still treat Barry like a friggin legend. At least we fired GB. So don't try to compare CU's mishaps to OU's. OU's infraction are on a higher level than any other program in college football since SMU. And we all know what happened to SMU.

Okay, maybe a suspension of some type? maybe the year? Nope. He's welcomed with open arms at OU. It's good to see the Switzer days are making a comeback in Norman.

Actually over the last 10 years CU and OU are tied at 3 wins apiece during the regular season. It helps to know *** your talking about before you pop off. Nice try though.

Here's some trivia. OU normally blows in Boulder. They won once during the 2003 season in Boulder. Since that win, when was the last time the gooners one a game in Boulder?

When was the last time you were in Stillwater? I live here, I can tell you all about it. There are no dirt roads anywhere within 5 miles of Stillwater. Some of the roads on campus are starting to fall apart, but they're fixing them.

Stillwater is actually now the 5th largest city in Oklahoma, right behind Norman. It's expanding appropriately. We're supposed to be talking about football, not how crappy someone thinks Stillwater is. That stuff's reserved for the Talkin' Smack section, I would think.

like I said before, you have a chance against the buffs but there is no way in hell you are going to beat Missouri. I think they beat you by at least 21 points.

You won't beat Mizzou. I don't think we will either. They look pretty damn good.

Very much agreed. If our defense doesn't show up like it's supposed to, it'll be another 6-6 year, and that's being optimistic.

If spring practice was any indication, though, our defense is going to be night and day better than last year. I can honestly see us pulling out an 8-4 or 9-3 kind of year. Best case scenario, we only lose to Texas, Texas Tech, and either Missouri or Colorado. I'd love to beat at least one of those teams, if not all of them. I certainly wouldn't mind pulling a Kansas this year...but if we have to lose 1 game, I'd prefer it be to someone other than OU, Texas, Tech, or A&M. I'll take a close loss to Mizzou or CU for that kind of year
