    I love it.
So excited to let you see what this little thing called "defense" is. I know they don't play it in the big 12, but you'll learn soon enough.

    Bradford = GATORBAIT!

Well we better get used to it, because OU, Texas, Florida, LSU and USC will be at the top and challenging for the title every year because of their recruiting, and the only thing everyone else can do is get better and beat them, and start pulling in better talent. Sounds simple don't it?

anyhow, so what if Bob Stoops record is 4-6. The guy is a helluva coach. Mack Brown is a great coach as well. Mike Leach is a helluva coach. Gary Pinkel is something that is left to be desired, so I won't even get near that one.

I'm always amazed that Mack Brown can send out a class of seniors, and it looks like he virtually has nothing to work with the following year, and that guy churns out a 9-3 or 10-2 squad from literally nothing, and then a year later they are in the National Title Contender Talk.

I don't know why you hate OU and Bob Stoops so much, but I think you're letting some arrogant fans form a wrong perception for you.

I could see if OU was like MU, had never won any championships, Big 12 Titles, and was talking smack all the time (which is why I totally hate and despise MU) but OU is a storied program with 7 Titles, 41 Conference Championships, and a Bowl Record of 25-15-1. It's not like we don't have nothing to back it up with. Texas does it too, they brag when they win, and when they beat OU, but it's all just part of the rivalry.

Not every OU fan is an ass. We think highly of our team, but as a fan, when we stink, I own it. When we win, I naturally boast about it. That's what fans do. Winning is the right to talk smack. Losing is the process of getting owned...every team goes through it.
'preciate the love. My Dad is an OU homer, and so are my brothers, and everyone else, and I get alot of crap for it. Even my mom said after watching the TT and MU games "This is why no one likes OU. They go through the regular season running it up, talkin ****, and then they get ***** slapped in Bowl games"

Yeah, the name "Big Game" Bob is more of a backhanded joke then people realize.

Dude, if you really think OU will score 60 on Florida, then I got some swamp land in Wyoming I wanna sell you really cheap!

I am a Husker fan, and have the utmost respect for OU, WAAAY before Bob got there, even when Switzer way beatin our asses, but it's NO SECRET that Stoops is know nationwide as a cocky, egocentric jerk sometimes. UT Bowl record since 2003
    • 2003 Holiday Bowl: #15 Washington State 28, #5 Texas 20
    • 2005 Rose Bowl: #6 Texas 38, No. 13 Michigan 37
    • 2006 Rose Bowl: #2 Texas 41, No. 1 USC 38
    • 2006 Alamo Bowl: #18 Texas 26, Iowa 24
    • 2007 Holiday Bowl: #17 Texas 52, #12 Arizona State

    4-1 > 1-4.

What is Whoops' bowl record 4-6? And everytime they lose I get to hear an OU fan say "fluke win" this and "trap game" that. I'm sick of it.

I think to many of ya on here like to post about the teams and what you think will do,have done and have not done in the past...

As to say hey look at me !!...Using mostly opinions to try to prove whatever the point may be...

Florida wins against Oklahoma by 50 points..... Oklahoma is still one of the best teams in the country and vice versa.....Saying who you think will win by whatever margin does not mean you know anymore then the next guy that will quote your post....

We can go back and forth saying this team is better,Look at what this team has done compared to this team although more often then not only looking at a small window of time of a sport that was going on way before we was born and Both teams in question usually need not prove anything.....They are some the best and the reason why watch and love college football.....

I always look for new members to stick around and continually participate over a certain length of time. The ones on here that have done just that...Even though I dont always agree with them I most certainly value their opinion more.....

    Hey thats just my :2cents:

So it's not like they have some super hex jinx against them, just random bad luck, which I believe they will be up for the task against Florida. No way is Bob Stoops coming unprepared this time. He will have these guys focused, and ready to play! Anyone who thinks this Oklahoma team can't play defense against a fast team better go back and watch the Texas Tech vs Oklahoma game again.

    2003 (Sugar Bowl NC Game)
OU vs LSU - Lost 21-14.

    2004 (Orange Bowl NC Game)
OU vs USC - Lost 55-19

    2005 (Holiday Bowl)
    OU vs Oregon - Won 17 - 14

    2006 (Fiesta Bowl)
OU vs Boise State - Lost 43-42

    2007 (Fiesta Bowl)
OU vs WV - Lost 48-28.

Sorry, it was two years out of 3, but what I meant was, more often than not a team will play for the BCS championship game basically at home:

2001 OU and FSU in Miami (although OU won)
2003 LSU and OU at LSU
2004 USC and OU at USC
2005 Texas and USC at USC
2007 Ohio state and LSU at LSU
2008 Florida and OU in Miami

THATS what I meant. I love it when Gator fans get all hoppity.

Well he won it his second year in 2000, but I agree that whatever defense comes to play will determine it, cause we already know both Offenses can light it up!!!!
