  • Pryor is a wuss!

Man, the Buckeyes' QB Pryor is a serious wuss. The previous series he came up short on a 3rd down run where he could easily have picked up the first if he hadn't run out of bounds. Instead they ended up with a false start and had had to punt. Wouldn't have been an issue if he'd tried for 2 more yards which the defender could not have prevented.

And on this last series, Pryor did pick up the first down but easily had another another 5 or 6 yards before a defender would have touched him but he once again wussed out and trotted out of bounds. And it was not a matter of momentum, either.

Any Buckeyes followers know what his problem is? Did somebody forget to tell him that football is a contact sport and not for girly-men?

Football is not a contact sport.
    Its a collision sport.

But yea... I saw Pryor on that run.

He could have got the 1st and then some. He looked like a player with a torn hammy that ran out gimpy.
Jay would have ran over someone.

But yea.. still funny that he didn't even get the 1st. Guess his head isn't quite in it?

I guess not every team can have a quarterback that will run anybody over

Texas is starting to roll! Once again OSU falls apart during the big game.

He's a freshman and has more talent than this entire board combined.

I wish I had his problems

Yeah he is a freshman, but they benched a senior QB that is better than him (as proved by tonights stats) just so that "the chosen one" could play. He does have loads of talent, but isn't mature enough as a football player to be playing in the fiesta bowl against a team like texas.

You're right we all claimed to be so much more talented than him. I REALLY hope he has more football talent than any of us do. If we are all more talented than him, i feel really sad for ohio state, their program will be horrible for the next 3 years.

just think if they would have put him at WR and kept 17 at QB

Why was he benched in the first place again?

Where is LD on this? I'm sure he'll be happy to put his 2 cents in on this

First off, I didn't say he wasn't talented. I said he's a wuss, as in running out of bounds with plenty of yards yet to be had, and important yards in at least one case.

As for talent, 5 of 13 for 67 yards doesn't look all that talented to me. I don't care if he's a freshman or not, if he wasn't ready to play QB then he shouldn't have been out there.

Who knows? Maybe he'll stop being a wuss as he matures. Until then, I wouldn't want that lack of competitive spirit leading my team, regardless of any supposed talent.

He was mainly a runner in high school with his size. He will mature through the next couple years as a passer. He doesn't NEED to throw to win games. Look at his statlines.

This kid is the real deal, and as much as I hate to say it he WILL lead OSU to a National Title. Without a doubt.

Edit: It also doesn't help that his teammates dropped a couple passes.

I don't think Pryor played like a wuss at all during the game. He had some courageous runs and tough runs up the middle.

They lose but Pryor played especially well and I saw no wuss on the field with #2 on his jersey.

If he was a runner in high school, why was running out of bounds with nobody in a position to tackle him? You'd think a running QB would be good at doing just that and know when to run out of bounds and when not to.

I didn't start this thread to question his talent, although I do have my doubts, but rather his heart. He showed no heart, either that or a completely lack of football awareness, when unnecessarily running out of bounds on several occasions. And that one play where he would have had the first down and they ended up punting was potentially crucial.

I just hate seeing supposed football players, even quarterbacks, who are seemingly afraid of contact. He didn't even have to worry about a big tackle, just edge forward a bit more because the defenders were in no position to stop him.

If he gets hurt you can kiss goodbye to a win for OSU in that game. He kept them in it. Did you see some of his runs? The kid is ridiculous, he even ran up the middle of the field a couple times.

Pretty ballsy, if you ask me. But whatever.

E, did you watch the first half? Did you not see him run of out bound 2 yards short of the first down when he could easily have made the first? And they ended up punting two plays later.

On the very next series, he had a nice run for a first but NEEDLESSLY ran out of bounds with no defender within 6 yards of him.

Sorry man but both of those plays were 100% wussy.
