Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

If he gets hurt you can kiss goodbye to a win for OSU in that game. He kept them in it. Did you see some of his runs? The kid is ridiculous, he even ran up the middle of the field a couple times.
Pretty ballsy, if you ask me. But whatever.
Hey, I realize that in college you don't need to have a good passer at QB to win, although they could have used one tonight. But a running QB shouldn't be ducking out of bounds with easy yards, and important yards, yet to be had.
Obviously he had some good runs but that doesn't change the fact the he wussed out on at least a couple plays. No big deal, I guess, except that nobody knows if the course of the game would have been different had OSU picked up that first down and continued their early drive.

If Wells doesn't get hurt, game over for Texas.
Or what if Texas converted their 4th down conversion in the 2nd quarter?
Or if OSUs 47 yard drive in the first quarter didnt end in a missed field goal?
These things happen in games, If it weren't for Pryor it would have been tough for OSU to stay in it. How about showing blitz on the final offensive play of the game for Texas? How dumb was that?
What we have to remember is that the dude is 18 playing against hard nosed veterans coached by that maniac Muschamp, I don't fault him for running out of bounds. I'd hate to try and gameplan against him (Pryor) in the future.
If Pryor got hurt then OSU would have lost the game. Problem is he didn't get hurt and STILL lost the game. Who knows, maybe that extra little effort would have changed the game enough to get a win... I guess we'll never know. The kid will be the real deal in a few years. At least OSU knows that if he doesn't get better making reads and throwing the ball, they have a good WR on their hands. Yeah he'll probably lead them to a national championship game, but they probably aren't going to win!
Does anyone else think they might have been better off using #17 the most through the season, and rotating Pryor in on certain situations like Florida did with Leak/Tebow in '06?

I agree with you hes still young and has not fully got use to of taking hits from huge guys like Orakpo who could bench press two of him or Miller.Give him some time and he will stop running out of bounds and just take defenders head on.

You might be right, he might toughen up as he matures. But neither of those plays would have warranted big hits. And the one for the first down should have been worth a big hit, even though there wouldn't have been one.
Whatever the case, I'll stop ripping on the guy and chalk it up to his being too young. But I'll never stop being surprised and disappointed to see plays like that, even from QBs. Because while I fully understand telling your QB to not take hits, that wasn't an issue on either of those runs.
Game over. They lost and who knows if that first down changes the outcome. I'm done.

Few things that I read... Ohio State OLine was not able to pass protect this year...Boeckman had only 1 year of starting xp and at the end of last year against the teams that could man up and out match Ohio St.You could tell he was raw in the pocket and had very little pocket presence and timing and while being rushed his accuracy leaves something to be desired.
Enter this year the OLine had gotten worse then last years and the Buckeyes had started much the same way as they left...Then Wells gets hurt....So you got a QB that is gun shy and getting knocked to the ground ever time he drops back to pass...Enter Pryor..
I was critical of this because I thought the Buckeyes should have merged Pryor into the lineup much the same way they did tonight....
Pryor is a freshman...
The first play he ran out of bounds...I seen no real fault in it other then he needed to be more aware of the down and distance....The second time he ran out of bounds...I dont think he was scared and being a wuss....I think he made a mental error due to being a freshman...He did make a error though because he still had 5-7 + yds he could have gain...The fumble he had against Penn St I would say played into this...
I'm not at all disappointed from what I see from him tonight...
I think Ohio St gave Texas the best of what they had and Texas did not play up their capabilities..Without Pryor I think Ohio St would have got took to the shed....I have no real complaints other then I'm not very high on Jim Heacock
Gratz to Texas because they was the better of the two teams..
