Official National Championship Game Thread: Florida vs Oklahoma

2 1/2 days till the big game. I'm pumped!!! Unfortunately I can't watch the game on my big screen as I recently moved and the jerkoff DirecTV installers can't get here until the 19th of January. So I have to go Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game. But I'll be there with my Sooners jersey and Sooners hat in full out support!!!!!!!

Franks needs to do some research before talking smack about Tebow. Everytime someone has in the past he's put up at least 42 points, and absolutly crushed whoever was the one to open his mouth. I can understand if it was a senior...but a redshirt sophomore?! come'on man!

His trash talk started out as a response to the trash coming from OU... without Franks starting it, Spikes wouldn't have to finish it. Oh and Spikes has more game experience, is a team captain and has this little thing called a National Championship ring...he's earned the right to say what he thinks.

well considering these 2 teams have never played each other before, and OU and UF both put up big offensive numbers this season, and the game has yet to be played, I think the coaches should clamp down hard on both sides, and tell both of these motor mouth chumps to shut the hell up and save it for the field or they can ride the bench during the game.

At least that's how I'd handle it if my guys were flapping their gums. They'd be instructed to respond to the other team with an answer of "we're gonna let our play on the field do the talking for us, next question please".

I never said that he should say the stuff, just that between the two he's earned the right to say what he feels more than the other guy due to experience in general and in national championship games. I apparently mis-worded my post by making it sound like he should be talking crap before a game when i definitly don't think any player should be talking to the media unless it's positive.

To the whole "Tim Tebow started it when he said he was excited to play a Big12 defense": you can take it in a negative way that he is looking down on them, or talking bad about them, or you can look at it that he's is excited to play a defense from a conference he has never played before. It might have come out bad, but he definitly didn't mean it that way. An interview on Jan. 5th a reporter asked him "Q. Did you tell the CBS guys that you would like to go against Big 12 defenses?"....his response? "TIM TEBOW: I didn’t say it like that. I dream of playing teams like Texas, Oklahoma, but also the Penn States, USC. So when I was talking about it, I was talking about it in a way like that, not like we’re superior to them. That wasn’t what I meant." and " Q. We’ve heard about all the criticisms of the Big 12 defense, but what do you see on film? What do you see in comparison to some of the SEC defenses?" with a response of "TIM TEBOW: You know, I think they’re a really good defense. I think Oklahoma has got a lot of good players, they’re coached really well. I think this year when they needed to step up and make plays, they have, they’ve made some defensive stands and they’ve caused a lot of transfers. I wont be able to post tomorrow so I figured I would post one last time in here before the big game tomorrow.

Here's to a clean, injury free, good game (and by good i mean a Florida win by at least 21). All day tomorrow I'll be wearing my Gator shoes, socks, pants, underwear, shirt, Tebow jersey, hoodie, and hat... they're lucky you know. Tomorrow will either be one of the best days of my life, or one of the worst... I'm hoping its the first. I guess if something crazy happens and we lose I'll be on here friday morning congratulating OU, luckily that wont happen.

Watch out Sooners, you're in our state, playing in our backyard where only Gators come out alive! If you ain't a Gator, you're GATORBAIT!
