Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

You can't say Florida is better that Texas, USC or Utah because those teams have just as much right, if not more so to win the title.
This debate is why I like it the way it is. Otherwise we would be making excuses for losing and be called whinners. It's not going to matter in five or ten years anyway. I like the not really sure thing!!

Isn't fans of USC, Texas and Utah whinning right now?
PS. What is your point with your last line about Texas?

and how would you feel if the giants played the titans in the super bowl? they would have been voted in in a bcs type system and they certainly didn't belong

With the BCS system, would the Denver Broncos play in Super Bowl 31 or miss out anyway based on their loss to Jacksonville? The answer is they would not play against Jacksonville and therefore play in the Super Bowl. Of course, that idea would hurt the Broncos in the 1980s because we upset the #1 Browns in the AFC Championship Game twice. Cleveland would have played in those two Super Bowls instead of Denver. However, it is a different story with the Titans beating Jacksonville in the AFC Championship game because that was another rematch of two teams in the same division - more like the SEC title game. But I am not thinking about any of that when forming opinions about how the FBS champion should be determined, just saying what would happen if the NFL did not have a playoff.
My ability to comprehend the concept that we should keep all the bowl games and BCS rules and even how teams schedule games and conferences are lined up is no better than my ability to change political parties or religions based on what someone else says. You can argue forever why the way it is now is how it should be, but that is like trying to convince me the economy does not suck or I do not need doctors. There are so many problems with the FBS the whole subdivision needs to be replaced. Too bad the NCAA refused to make changes even after President Obama expressed his views about it on 60 Minutes.
It would take a long time to describe in detail everything I would change but I can say this much: The fact that Congress got into it (someone from Hawaii - I don't know who - actually wrote legislation for a college playoff) is proof the system is unfair to the players, coaches, and universities, not just a cause for constant complaints and criticism about the BCS putting the wrong teams in a championship game. If it was just complaints by fans, that is one thing, but it has also been criticized by the coaches of teams that were left out for stupid reasons every year. Kudos to Pete Carroll for not complaining about this crap.
