Looking at Nebraska's schedule, they have no reason not to win 9, with the losses on the road to Missouri, Virginia Tech., and at home to the Sooners. Who will win the north this year? I think it is up for grabs, and Mizz. should be a weaker team.

i don't know why everyone seems to be so afraid of missouri. they just lost their offensive coordinator, their best wide receiver ever, probably their best quarterback ever, their best linebacker ever, their best safety ever (i can't remember if moore graduated this year or last year) and one of their best tight ends ever. they will not be anywhere near as good as they have been the last two years, i am counting them as a win for the buffs.

Maybe they are going 12-0 but half the team will get caught using roids (which it would probably take to go 12-0) and we won't be in the other two games! Although, even in that scenerio, they would probably count them all as losses anyways.

Colorado could have 10 losses going into the game, and would STILL get up for the Nebraska game, at home or on the road, so I personally never know who of our teams will be up or down, especially this coming season!

The North is up for grabs. The South is a different story. The winner of OU Texas, BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! Same old same old! Just ONCE I would like to see OSU or Tech or BAYLOR win something, anything!

I'm calling it right now, NU is going to win the North, but most likely loose in the Big 12 championship game to Oklahoma.

And, I also think Ndamukong Suh can be drafting in the top 15.

I think that may be a strong possibility, with OU bringing so many Juniors back for next season! 2010 may, just may be the year Neb. finally returns to the big time?

Suh has some big time potential, he could be the best D-lineman in the Conf.

Anyways, here are some of my predictions for 2009 Husker Football:

We go 10-2, loosing to Okla and VT.

We win the North, play Okla in the Big 12 championship. We loose 28-14.

I still question what bowl we'd go too, if this were to happen..

Agreed on all points, and they're not like an Oklahoma where you can say they have a great coach and that will make them competitive because I think Pinkel's in the bottom half in the conference as far as coaches go. I have a feeling MU is going back to mediocre for a while. KU has Reesing and that receiver whose name eludes me coming back, and CU could make some noise. Otherwise, it looks like Nebraska has the best shot, though they do have to replace Ganz, Swift, and Peterson in the passing game. I look for them to lean on the experienced defense and Helu until they can ease Zac Lee (or possibly Cody Green?) into that starting role.

Baph, you know as well as I do, since you follow the Huskers like I do, that the Running game will HAVE to carry the Offense, cause the passing game lost EVERYONE, and the Defense will be the STRENGTH of the team! I think this year the Blackshirts will be top ten in the nation no doubt. The big ???? is the Passing Off. If they can even avr. 150-175 I will be happy, cause I think they will avr. 250yds plus a game rushing.

CU should win the north this year. If healthy, they have a really good O-Line to open up holes for Scott and Stewart.

Nebraska should compete though. I expect CU and Nebraska to compete for the north this year.
