Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

The heavy hitters are all over the place. The Big 10 has fine teams, and the Gators, LSU, Alabama, and USC are all fine Athletic programs too. I'd personally stick with something from your own state, but there are a lot of people who root for out of state teams as well.
I will have to kill you if you side with Michigan though (devout Ohio State fan).
The SEC is a good divison to watch there is alot of good match ups each year
it has Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi, Arkansas in the Western divison and in the Eastern the teams are. Georgia, Tennesse, Vanderbilt, Florida, Kentucky, South Cariolina.
But since am a Virginia fan i would tell you to watch as much ACC football as you can so you can see them win it all.
thx for the info guys, I was watching espn u last night and it had the auburn vandy game on from last year. It just seems like the collge kids play with a lot more heart. I'll do some more digging on it all. Thanks again

I actually on a whole prefer college football over The NFL other than The Broncos of course.College FB is interesting because you see such different offenses and defenses whether its a spread, spread option, option or other. Its very interesting to see how defenses defend against these different offenses. If you get a chance watch Florida and their spread O or watch Air Force,Navy or GaTech run their option and how the d defends against it.You mention college kids seem to play with more passion.I dont know if that is actually true but most heavyweight teams in college know if they lose a game they very well could be out of a shot at a National Title.Florida and Okla overcame this but only because they lost to a quality team.Perfect example was Alabama went from the #1 team in the country to losing The SEC Champ. and losing their bowl game. The last thing is there is nothing better than sitting with the clicker and staring at the big screen all day watching football on a Sat.

Well the SLEEPER could be Ole MISS. this year! They were the ONLY team to beat Florida, at their house, they have the Gators at home this season, and will be ranked in the top ten. They could challenge for the SEC Champ. this year, and quite possibly the Nat. Champ. They also have one of the best QBs in the Nation in Javon Snead, I belive he tranfered from Texas a couple of years ago. He will be a frontrunner for the Heisman, but the MEDIA is in LOVE with those Gator and Sooner QBs!
Best confrence is the SEC, followed by the Big 12, then either the PAC 10 or Big 10 plus 1.
You ever get the chance, dont pass up going to a College game. Better atmosphere then the NFL even!!!

The best advice I can give is just watch as much as you can and form your own opinions about what you see....
I would not be in a hurry to devote your fanhood to one team in your 1st real full of year of watching but cheer for more then a few teams it should be easy enough to rally behind the teams and the players ...

First off, I've been around SEC football since birth ('73) but I've always loved college football even more than BRONCOS football. Nothing more exciting if you ask me, well except when I was playing in HS!! BTW, I love Pac 10 football as well!
Secondly, listen to LD, he's very knowledgable about the game and gives out great info. And like he said watch all conferences, form your own opinion, and pick up a team.
Thirdly, here are some websites for history and stats of teams and watch ESPN gameday on Saturday morning with Corso, Herbstreet and (forgot the other guys name):
